Cement can be pumped through a work string into a first annulus formed between a liner and a wall of the wellbore. One or more first contact valves in the liner can be opened with the work string. Fluid can flow through the work string and the one or more first contact valves to fracture a first zone. One or more second contact valves in the liner can be opened with the work string. Fluid can flow through the work string and the one or more second contact valves to fracture a second zone.

    摘要: A system and method of generating one or more perforations in a well casing while simultaneously restricting burr formation is provided. A perforating gun assembly includes a gun housing having an outer surface designed to engage the inner surface of the well casing. At least a portion of the outer surface of the gun housing substantially corresponds to the inner surface of the well casing. The position of the gun housing engaging the inner surface of the well casing restricts burr formation both upon the inner surface of the well casing and the outer surface of the gun during explosive charge detonation.

A pressure-activated operator is coupled to the sealing element and is adapted to cause the sealing element to deform generally radially inwardly to allow the inner surface to apply a force to seal around the carrier line. A fluid pressure conduit extends from a sea surface pressure source to the pressure-activated operator. The sealing element is part of a pack-off device that can be used in a subsea blow-out preventer.

    摘要: A new zonal isolation method and apparatus perforates a plurality of zones of a formation, while isolating each perforated zone from every other zone, with one trip into wellbore, and without requiring the circulation of a kill fluid throughout the wellbore following perforation to kill the well so that a packer and/or a perforating gun may be removed from the well. The new zonal isolation apparatus includes a perforating gun and a plug or packer connected to the perforating gun. The new zonal isolation method includes detonating the perforating gun thereby creating a set of perforations in the formation; moving the perforating gun and plug/packer uphole until the plug/packer is situated at a particular position in the wellbore which is disposed directly above the set of perforations in the formation; and setting the plug/packer at the particular position in the wellbore. The perforated zones located below the plug/packer are isolated from annulus fluids, pressure, or kill fluids which are normally introduced above the plug/packer in the wellbore.
