摘要: A method of performing a reverse-link packet data service in a communication system is provided, by which a reverse packet data service is available at a high data rate in the reverse link supporting a variable data rate without additional Walsh code allocation. The method includes steps of transmitting a plurality of traffic packet frames on a first channel, each traffic packet frame having a data rate; transmitting a plurality of main pilots on a second channel; transmitting a plurality of auxiliary pilots on a third channel, each auxiliary pilot corresponding to one traffic packet frame; and transmitting data rate information on a fourth channel, the data rate information indicating the respective data rates of the traffic packet frames, wherein the transmissions on the third and fourth channels are alternated by a time division of one Walsh code. A communication system adopting the method includes a base station for transmitting a plurality of reverse activity bits for a plurality of traffic packet frames to at least one mobile terminal, each traffic packet frame having a data rate, the at least one mobile terminal determining a plurality of reverse rate indicators of the respective data rates of the traffic packet frames using the corresponding reverse activity bits, each reverse rate indicator determining the data rate of the next traffic packet frame.

摘要: A rotor in an electrical machine, the rotor comprises a magnetic core having at least two poles, a plurality of winding assemblies, one for each pole, and a cylindrical tube enclosing the magnetic core and winding assemblies, the tube including a plurality of rings having different axial widths. Each of the rings is axially spaced apart from an adjacent ring. The respective axial widths of the rings become progressively smaller than the axial width of the ring axially located at or near the center of the tube as the axial distance away from the center of the tube increases. A plurality of winding braces are coupled to at least one of the winding assemblies, the winding braces having different radial heights.

摘要: The device capable of automatically cleansing an outer wall or window-pane of a building is characterized by the construction that support dies bent and folded by a cylinder are cross-formed, a brush rotating by a driving motor is installed on one side support die, and a weight plumb is set on another side support die, to whereby get an effective cleansing with only more simplified construction. In addition, in case that a boundary jaw or a projection appears, the cleansing work can be progressed moderately by unfolding and bending/folding the support die through a use of the cylinder so as to move the centroid, so by smoothly passing through the projection.

摘要: An environment-resistant module which provides both thermal and vibration isolation for a packaged micromachined or MEMS device is disclosed. A microplatform and a support structure for the microplatform provide the thermal and vibration isolation. The package is both hermetic and vacuum compatible and provides vertical feedthroughs for signal transfer. A micromachined or MEMS device transfer method is also disclosed that can handle a wide variety of individual micromachined or MEMS dies or wafers, in either a hybrid or integrated fashion. The module simultaneously provides both thermal and vibration isolation for the MEMS device using the microplatform and the support structure which may be fabricated from a thin glass wafer that is patterned to create crab-leg shaped suspension tethers or beams.

摘要: A remote starting control circuit for a polyphase motor includes a controller, a zero-crosspoint detector, a power switch, a commutation circuit and a motor drive output circuit. The controller controls an excitation current applied to the motor. When the motor starts normally, it is accelerated in accordance with a detected zero-crosspoint. If the zero-crosspoint detector indicates that the motor has not started under optimal conditions, the controller adjusts a power-OFF interval and an excitation pulse width and re-starts the motor accordingly. Because of the ability to controllably adjust the starting of the motor under various excitation conditions, the motor can be started successfully without such problems as torque dead-point, head sticking and insufficient starting torque.
