Abstract: Methods and apparatus for encoding data streams are provided. A computing device can receive an input data stream encoded in an encoder-input format. The input data stream can include a header identifying the encoder-input format, pages of content, a cross-reference table referencing objects in the pages of content, and a trailer object. The computing device can determine a list of pages within the input data stream. The computing device can reformat the input data stream into an output data stream having an encoder-output format. The output data stream can include an identifier identifying the encoder-output format, a lookup table, pages in the list of pages, the cross-reference table, and the trailer object. The lookup table can reference objects and specify locations of pages within the output data stream. The computing device can generate an output based on the output data stream.

Abstract: Methods and systems for arranging shapes within a document prior to printing cut-out patterns are described. A printing device may identify and group contents in a page of a print job as shapes to be cut out from the paper after they are printed. The printing device may then detect the grouped page contents as cut-out patterns. For each cut-out pattern, the printing device may detect the white spaces of content of the cut-out pattern and mark them as available for printing other cut-out patterns. Thus, the printing device may print multiple cut-out patterns on a same page based on using the white space within larger cut-out patterns.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a printer and a method of loading one or more papers into printer tray. In an aspect, the proposed printer can include a printer tray configured to hold a plurality of papers to be used for printing; and a paper sensor configured to sense when number of papers in the printer tray is below a defined threshold, such that when the number of papers in the printer tray is below the defined threshold, the paper sensor issues a notification message to a drone that in turn is configured to, based on the received notification message, pick up and carry one or more papers from a paper storage shelf and load the picked up one or more papers into the printer tray.

Abstract: Example systems and related methods may relate to monitoring performance of an image forming operation. Namely, a system includes an image forming apparatus configured to execute an operation in response to receiving instructions to execute the operation. The system further includes an external sensor circuit that includes one or more sensors and a processor. The one or more sensors are configured to detect a status of a first operational parameter of the image forming apparatus indicative of the image forming apparatus executing the operation and detect a status of a second operational parameter of the image forming apparatus indicative of the image forming apparatus executing an intervening operation. The system further includes a host computing device. The host computing device is configured to generate a plurality of timestamps indicative of when the image forming apparatus executed the operation and when the image forming apparatus executed the intervening operation.

Abstract: A Toner Saver Feature (TSF) that enables adjustments in toner throughputs thus enhancing a user's control on toner consumption and thereby increasing life of cartridges in printing devices is disclosed. The disclosed TSF is configured to change throughput for each of the plurality of colorants based on at least one Preset Colorant Saver Configuration (Preset) that contains a set of Throughput Rate Reduction (TRR) values for each colorant, and wherein the at least one preset colorant saver configuration is user configurable. TSF enables a user to change the set of TRR values for each of the plurality of colorants individually through a user interface, and save the changed values as one of the Presets. The reduction values get implemented in all modes of printing wherein factory set throughput rates for the current mode get further reduced based on the selected Preset.

Abstract: The present application is directed to system and method for pre-generation of page description language (PDL) for printing. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods, systems, and computer readable mediums for pre-generating a page description language (PDL) print job for documents for printing. Such pre-generation of the PDL achieves almost instantaneous and efficient printing experience. The methods, systems, and computer readable mediums by pre-generation of the PDL achieves faster printing turnaround time from the time when user clicks “OK” to print the document to the time user picks up the print out is required. The method for pre-generating a PDL print job for a document for printing can determine an instance to pre-generate the PDL print job for the document before the manual election for printing, and issuing a printing instruction in response to a manual election, to send of the pre-generated PDL print job to a printing device.

Abstract: Apparatuses related to identifying print jobs for pre-processing are disclosed. In an example apparatus thereof, a header is for pre-rendering a print job stored in a memory of a host device. A data page is for at least one page of the print job stored in the memory of the host device. The header includes job parameters for the pre-rendering. The job parameters include: a system identifier to identify the print job for the pre-rendering; a mode select to set for the pre-rendering; a job identifier to identify the print job from other print jobs by a printer engine or a print manager; and a cache select to set for caching a pre-rendered image for the print job after the pre-rendering thereof.

Abstract: Systems and methods relate generally to textile patch attachment to a textile material. In an example, a method relating generally to textile patch attachment to a textile material is disclosed. In such a method, design and coloring of a textile patch and the textile material is detected. This detection includes: capturing images of the textile patch and the textile material with a camera; sending the images to a programmed computer system in communication with the camera for image processing; determining thickness and colors of the textile patch and the textile material from the image processing of the images; and determining position of the textile patch relative to a pattern of the textile material from the image processing of the images. After the detecting, data obtained from the detecting is displayed on a display screen of the programmed computer system.
