摘要： The present invention provides a display device which includes a common electrode drive circuit having the single channel constitution which can miniaturize a circuit scale without increasing elements compared to a conventional display device. A display device includes a plurality of pixels and a common electrode drive circuit. The common electrode drive circuit includes a plurality of basic circuits, wherein the basic circuit includes a first circuit which latches a first input signal at a point of time that a clock signal is changed to a first voltage level from a second voltage level; a second circuit which latches a second input signal at the point of time that the clock signal is changed to the first voltage level from the second voltage level; a first switching circuit which is turned on based on the voltage latched by the first circuit and outputs a first power source voltage to an output terminal in an ON state; and a second switching circuit which is turned on based on the voltage which is latched by the second circuit and outputs a second power source voltage to an output terminal in an ON state, wherein when the first input signal assumes the second voltage level, the second input signal assumes the first voltage level, and when the second input signal assumes the second voltage level, the first input signal assumes the first voltage level, and after the clock signal is changed to the second voltage level from the first voltage level and before the clock signal returns to the first voltage level from the second voltage level, either one of the first input signal and the second input signal is changed to the second voltage level form the first voltage level.

The display device includes a display part on which a plurality of pixels are arranged in a matrix array, a plurality of photo detection circuits which are arranged in a matrix array in the inside of the display part, wherein each photo detection circuit of the plurality of photo detection circuits includes: a photo sensor which converts an incident light into a optical current corresponding to intensity of the incident light, an integral capacitance which integrates the optical current converted by the photo sensor, and a comparator to which a voltage of the integral capacitance is inputted, and the comparator includes a transistor of an open drain output type with a grounded source.

摘要： The present invention provides a display device that has a driving circuit including a single channel bidirectional shift register with which the circuit scale can be reduced without increasing the number of elements.The driving circuit includes a single channel bidirectional shift register. This single channel bidirectional shift register has an RS flip-flop circuit. The RS flip-flop circuit includes a first transistor having a first electrode connected to an output terminal and having a second electrode to which a second scanning direction control signal is applied and a second transistor having a first electrode connected to an output terminal and having a second electrode to which a first scanning direction control signal is applied. In this circuit configuration, a resetting signal is applied to a control electrode of the first transistor in a first scanning direction, a setting signal is applied to the control electrode of the first transistor in a second scanning direction which is a direction opposite to the first scanning direction. The setting signal is also applied to a control electrode of the second transistor in the first scanning direction, and the resetting signal is also applied to the control electrode of the second transistor in the second scanning direction.

In a transflective liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal display panel having a pair of substrates and a liquid crystal layer held between the pair of substrates, the liquid crystal display panel has a plurality of subpixels each having a transmissive part and a reflective part, wherein one of the pair of substrates has: an active element; a first insulating film disposed in a higher layer than the electrode of the active element and having a first contact hole; a counter electrode disposed in a higher layer than the first insulating film; a reflective electrode disposed in the reflective part in a higher layer than the counter electrode; a second insulating film disposed in a higher layer than the counter electrode and the reflective electrode and having a second contact hole; a pixel electrode disposed in a higher layer than the second insulating film; and an electroconductor formed in the first contact hole and electrically connected to the electrode of the active element, and the pixel electrode is electrically connected to the electroconductor via the second contact hole.
