摘要: There is disclosed a display device which is driven by a two-field drive scheme. That is, brightness corresponding to one frame of image is obtained in two scans. The display screen is divided into plural regions. One of the regions is driven by a black insertion method. The other region is driven by a pseudo-normal drive method. In this method, an image based on the same display data is displayed twice. The display data is converted such that the gamma characteristics of the pseudo-normally driven region are substantially equal to the gamma characteristics of the region driven by the black insertion method. If necessary, each individual pixel in the boundary region between the region driven by the black insertion method and the region driven by the pseudo-normal drive method is displayed black or white. The boundary region has a width of at least two pixels.

摘要: A key switch preferably used for a keyboard as an input device in electronic equipment. The key switch includes a base section; a key top disposed above the base section; a pair of link members interlocked to each other to support and direct the key top in a vertical direction relative to the base section; a switch member including a contact section capable of opening and closing in response to a vertical movement of the key top; and a biasing member capable of applying an elastic biasing force in a vertically upward direction to the key top. The key switch further includes a protection member disposed and inserted between the base section and the key top at a position where the protection member surrounds the pair of link members, the contact section and the biasing member. The protection member is elastically deformed to follow the vertical movement of the key top, and protects the pair of link members, the contact section and the biasing member from penetration of foreign matter.

摘要: For a nonvolatile memory permitting electrical writing and erasing of information to be stored, such as a flash memory, the load on the system developer is to be reduced, and it is to be made possible to avoid, even if such important data for the system as management and address translation information are damaged, an abnormal state in which the system becomes unable to operate. The nonvolatile memory is provided with a replacing function to replace a group of memory cells including defective memory cells which are incapable of normal writing or erasion with a group of memory cells including no defective memory cell, a numbers of rewrites averaging function to grasp the number of data rewrites in each group of memory cells and to so perform replacement of memory cell groups that there may arise no substantial difference in the number of rewrites among a plurality of memory cell groups, and an error correcting function to detect and correct any error in data stored in the memory array, wherein first address translation information deriving from the replacing function and second address translation information deriving from the numbers of rewrites averaging function are stored in respectively prescribed areas in the memory array, and the first address translation information and second address translation information concerning the same memory cell group are stored in a plurality of sets in a time series.

摘要: A license hub including a hub apparatus to which one or more apparatus and devices can be electrically connected, and a safe storage device for storing therein keys used to decode the encrypted contents data is added to the existing system to construct a license network. A controller of the license network acquires the information of various kinds of apparatuses and devices which are electrically connected to the license hub, and determines automatically the apparatus and/or the device suitable for executing the processing when carrying out the playback of contents or movement of the key to execute these processings.

摘要: A display device includes a frame frequency conversion circuit configured to convert a frame frequency of an input display data and a timing control circuit configured to control a first drive circuit and a second drive circuit based on a frame frequency after the conversion. The display device generates at least two display areas on the display panel. The at least two display areas display images at different frame frequencies. The display device further includes a switch unit configured to display an image at the frame frequency before the conversion at one of the at least two display areas and configured to display an image at the frame frequency after the conversion at another one of the at least two display areas. At least one of a boundary position and a size of the at least two display areas varies with time.

摘要: A push button-type switch device includes a pair of fixed contacts, an operable member to be pushed, an actuating member elastically deformable upon the operable member being pushed, a movable contact which short-circuits the pair of fixed contacts due to elastic deformation of the actuating member, and a limiting part arranged to limit a direction in which the operable member moves and making the operable member move in a fixed orientation. The limiting part includes a pair of link members that engage with each other, one ends of the link members rotatably supported by the base portion, and the other ends thereof slidably supported by the operable member. This produces a good click irrespective of a position where the operable member is operated.

摘要: The keyboard includes a rubber sheet fixed on key tops of a set of key-switch devices. The rubber sheet elastically urges the key tops upward so that they are borne away from the base of the key-switch devices. The rubber sheet is arranged so as to cover the key-switch devices from outside. According to the invention, the cost of a keyboard covered with a dustproof and watertight rubber sheet can be reduced.
