摘要： A laser drive integrated circuit and an optical disk apparatus using the laser drive integrated circuit for forming high-density marks. The optical disk apparatus includes a drive waveform information storage unit for storing at least one information of a drive waveform for driving a laser diode in response to a binary recording signal to be recorded in a recording medium, and a drive waveform decoder for decoding the drive waveform based on the information stored in the drive waveform information storage unit. A recording strategy can be changed in accordance with variations and fluctuations of recording media or characteristics of the recording media, while at the same time reducing a number of signal lines in flexible wiring and alleviating effects of signal distortion in the signal lines.

摘要： A laser drive integrated circuit and an optical disk apparatus using the laser drive integrated circuit for forming high-density marks. The optical disk apparatus has a drive waveform information storage unit for storing at least one information of the drive waveform for driving a laser diode in response to a binary recording signal recorded in a recording medium and a drive waveform decoder for decoding the drive waveform based on the information stored in the drive waveform information storage unit. 摘要： An optical recording control method determines an optimum recording laser power by effecting a test recording before information to be recorded is recorded on a disk. The recording laser power is formed of a plurality of powers. A relationship among the plurality of laser powers is regulated by power level ratios between respective powers, whereby a power used when a laser light is radiated on the disk can be controlled to be constant independent of an ambient temperature and a structure of a disk. Therefore, accurate recording marks can be formed on the disk.

摘要： An information reproducing apparatus is capable of stably and correctly binarizing a signal reproduced from a recording medium, such as an optical disk, even if the reproduced signal contains a fluctuation of its low frequency component. The reproduced signal is replaced by an AC signal in a period other than a period during which the reproduced signal is to be demodulated so that DC fluctuation of the reproduced signal is reduced to thereby stably and correctly binarize the reproduced signal.

摘要： An optical information processing apparatus uses an optical disk having correction marks such as mirror surfaces or wobbled pits intermittently arranged along a guide track. In a reproduce mode, tracking control is effected by correcting a tracking signal by a tracking offset component detected by the correction marks. In a record or erase mode, the track offset correction is deactivated and record or erase operation is controlled in accordance with an output level of the detected track offset component so that incomplete eraser of recorded data is prevented.

摘要： An optical information processor including a recording medium with a guide groove having interrupting portions therealong in the form of mirror areas for reflecting light impinging on the recording medium. A light detector is provided for receiving diffraction light from the guide groove with a first signal detector being provided for differentially operating on signals from the light detector and generating a tracking signal tracking the guide groove. Additionally, a second signal detector is provided for detecting the signal from the light detector indicative of the mirror areas and providing an output indicative thereof which is utilized for compensating the tracking signal. The compensated tracking signal is then utilized for controlling the positioning of the light beam on the recording medium.
