摘要： Methods and systems are provided for a dry silicone gel in a closure or interconnect system. The dry silicone gel may be made by reacting a crosslinker, a chain extender, and a vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane. The reaction may be conducted in the presence of a catalyst. In certain embodiments, the dry silicone gel may comprise: (1) a hardness between 100 g and 300 g, (2) a stress relaxation between 30% and 60% when subjected to a deformation of 50% of the original size of the gel, (3) a compression set between 4% and 20% after 50% strain has been applied to the gel for 1000 hours at 70° C., and/or (4) less than 10% oil bleed out under compression of 1.2 atm after 60 days at 60° C.

摘要： A splice closure and fibre organiser device (10) comprises a substantially elongate body 5 member (12), closure member (16) and a foldable organiser tray (14) for accommodating at least one fibre splice and/or length(s) of excess fibre. The organiser tray which includes a plurality of fold lines (21) provided by respective living hinges is capable of being wrapped around part of the bodymember, into a generally cylindrical or part cylindrical shape, to close or partially close the closure. The fold lines enable the organiser tray to be folded into an extra 10 dimension, from a flat planar structure into a generally cylindrical or part cylindrical shape. This enables the closure to be more compact without compromising the bend control radius characteristics of the organiser tray. By restricting the minimum bend radius of the organiser to that of the fibre to be used bend control of installed fibre can be readily achieved. The device is particularly suitable for use in FTTX applications.

摘要： A locking system for an enclosure (10) wherein the enclosure (10) includes a base (12) and a moveable cover (14). The cover (14) is moveable only when a key operated slide (70) is moved by a key (26) inserted into a key slot (24). Once the cover (14) is moved, the key (26) cannot be removed from the key slot (24) until the cover (14) is returned to the closed positioned. A moveable latch (50) holds the cover (14) to the base (12). The key operated slide (70) selectively connects and disconnects from the latch (50) to allow the cover (14) to be moved. The latch (50) cooperates with a clip (94) on the slide (70) which allows the slide (70) to return to the locked position to allow the key (26) to be removed from the key slot (24) only when the cover (14) and the latch (50) are closed. One or two latches can be provided with a corresponding number of key operated slides (70). The key (26) is rotatable to move the slide (70) from an extended and locked position to a retracted and unlocked position.

The cable sealing and retaining device (40; 60) comprises a sealing part (11) providing a passageway with an inner seal (14) through which a cable (2) is sealingly guidable, and an outer seal (15) arranged on an outer circumference of the sealing part (11). The cable sealing and retaining device (40; 60) comprises a fixation part (12) for retaining the sealing part (11) in longitudinal direction of the passageway; and a sleeve portion (47; 67) forming an opening (41; 61) for receiving the fixation part (12) and the sealing part (11) of the cable sealing and retaining device (40; 60). The sleeve portion (47; 67) provides a sealing section (42; 62) for co-operating with the outer seal (15) to perform a sealing therebetween. the cable sealing and retaining device (40; 60) is characterized by the fixation part (12) which provides fixation means (24) on its outer circumferential surface to fix the fixation part (12) to the sleeve portion (47; 67).

The positioning means (1) comprises a receiving means (5) for receiving one of a jack assembly or plug assembly (2) and a stationary support (6) supporting said receiving means (5), wherein the receiving means (5) is displaceable to a certain extent relative to the stationary support (6) at least along one direction other than a connection direction for optically interconnecting the optical fibers allowing an alignment of the receivable jack or plug assembly (2) along the direction transversal to the connection direction. A spring loaded element (8) resiliently urges said receiving means (5) away from the support (6) in one embodiment.
