    摘要: A power saving system in distributed wireless personal area network and a method thereof are disclosed. A PS (Power Save) anchor that provides information about hibernating devices to a beacon group through power save information elements in media access control for a wireless personal area network based on a wireless mobile ad-hoc network. Accordingly, all devices in the given wireless personal area network can schedule their active modes and hibernating modes according to hibernating intervals of destination devices with which the devices want to communicate. This can effectively reduce the necessity of the devices' waiting for the destination devices to awake from the hibernating mode as the devices maintain their idle state, and thus the power consumption of all the devices in the network can effectively be reduced.

    摘要: A system for dynamically shifting beacons in a distributed wireless network and a method thereof are disclosed. In a medium access control for a wireless personal area network based on a mobile ad-hoc network, beacons are shifted to other free lower slots in order to reduce the size of a beacon period. Also, collisions that may occur during the shifting of the beacons are detected and avoided. According to the system and method, the size of the beacon period for transmitting data can sufficiently be secured by dynamically reducing the size of the beacon period without collisions.

    摘要: A data slot allocation method allowing a plurality of devices in a wireless personal area network (WPAN) to satisfy the required QoS condition for the data stream transmission. The method includes allocating a specific number of data slots of a superframe to the plurality of the devices based on the QoS information; additionally allocating a certain number of data slots to a first device when the first device transmitting a data stream is allocated data slots less than a number of required data slots for the data stream transmission; and reserving the additional data slots for the first device by reducing a number of data slots to be allocated to the other devices, excluding the first device. Accordingly, the data slots can be fairly distributed to the devices.

    摘要: A low-power transmitting apparatus and transmission method in a wireless personal area network (WPAN). A length of a fragment, a data rate, and a transmission power is selected to transmit a frame with minimum energy consumption in a contention period and a contention-free period. Thus, a quality of service (QoS) requirement for the transmission can be satisfied and the data frame can be transmitted with less energy consumption. Even when the channel status changes, a new transmission criterion suitable for the changed channel status is selected to minimize the consumption of the unnecessary energy. Furthermore, the life span of the network according to the energy consumption under a restricted environment can be lengthened.

    摘要: Disclosed is a noncoherent pulse position and phase shift keying (PPPSK) transmission/reception system and a transmission/reception signal processing method therefor. Transmission system has an information generation unit for generating information data; a modulation unit for deciding a phase and a timing position corresponding to generated information data; and a wavelet generation unit for generating a wavelet based on the decided phase and timing position, and the reception system has an offset unit for mixing the reception signal with a high-frequency component corresponding to a center frequency of a transmission frequency band and offsetting a high frequency of the reception signal; a demodulation unit for generating at least one reference signal based on a previous signal precedingly received with respect to the reception signal and mixing the reference signals and the reception signal; and a decision unit for deciding information data corresponding to the reception signal based on mixing results.
