    Abstract: Provided is a method for manufacturing a flexible electrode, including the steps of: (i) coating a porous current collector having a plurality of pores with an active material slurry having a solid content of 30-50% and drying the active material slurry to form an active material coating layer; (ii) coating an active material slurry having a solid content of 30-50% on the active material coating layer formed from the preceding step and drying the active material slurry to form an additional active material coating layer; and (iii) repeating step (ii) n times (1≤n≤5) to form multiple active material coating layers, thereby forming an electrode active material layer in the pores and on the surface of the porous current collector in a non-press mode. A flexible electrode obtained from the method and a lithium secondary battery including the flexible electrode are also provided.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a cable type secondary battery which includes: a cable type electrode assembly including an inner electrode, a separator layer formed to surround the outer surface of the inner electrode and preventing a short-circuit between electrodes, and an outer electrode formed to surround the separator layer; a taping layer formed by spirally winding a sheet type tape so that it surrounds the outer surface of the cable type electrode assembly; and a packaging formed to surround the outer surface of the taping layer. According to the present disclosure, it is possible to prevent separation of the separator layer or the outer electrode, and thus to reinforce the bending characteristics of the cable type secondary battery.

    Abstract: A cable type secondary battery includes an inner electrode support; and a sheet-like inner electrode—separation layer—outer electrode complex which is spirally wound around the outer side of the inner electrode support. The inner electrode—separation layer—outer electrode complex is formed such that an inner electrode, a separation layer, and an outer electrode are compressed integrally. According to one embodiment, an electrode and a separation layer are bonded integrally so that the separation layer in close contact with the electrode absorbs electrolyte so as to induce a uniform supply of the electrolyte to an outer electrode active material layer, thereby increasing the stability and performance of a cable type secondary battery. In addition, the cable type secondary battery has a sheet-like electrode, whereby the resistance of the cable type secondary battery is reduced and the performance of the battery may be improved.
