Abstract: The vehicle behavior control device is designed to control a behavior of a vehicle having steerable front road wheels. Abstract: The vehicle behavior control device comprises: a steer-by-wire type steering apparatus (6) having a steering wheel-side mechanism and a road wheel-side mechanism which are mechanically separated from each other; and a controller (8) performs a driving force reduction control of reducing a driving force for a vehicle (1) when a steering speed in the steering apparatus (6) becomes equal to or greater than a given threshold. The steering apparatus (6) comprises a first steering angle sensor (14) provided in the steering wheel-side mechanism and a second steering angle sensor (19) provided in the road wheel-side mechanism. The controller (8) performs the driving force reduction control based on the steering speed in accordance with a sum of an output of the first steering angle sensor (14) and an output of the second steering angle sensor (19).

Abstract: A vehicle control device is provided, which includes an engine, an engine control mechanism configured to control torque generated by the engine, a steering device, and a processor. The processor determines whether a vehicle is traveling and a steering angle related value that is related to a steering angle of the steering device increases, executes a control of the engine control mechanism to reduce the torque when the vehicle is determined to be traveling and the steering angle related value is determined to increase, determines whether a combustion frequency of the engine per unit time is lower than a given value, executes the control for reducing the torque when the combustion frequency is determined to be higher than the given value, and prevents the execution of the control for reducing the torque when the combustion frequency is determined to be lower than the given value.

Abstract: The vehicle behavior control device comprises a PCM configured to decide a target additional deceleration. The PCM is operable: to correct the target additional deceleration in such a manner that it is reduced by multiplying the target additional deceleration by a coefficient K1 set according to a vehicle speed, a coefficient K2 set according to a steering wheel angle, a coefficient K3 set according to an accelerator position and a coefficient K4 decided according to a required deceleration; when a value derived by multiplying the target additional deceleration by K1 and K2 is less than a threshold DT, to stop a torque reduction control; and, when the value derived by multiplying the target additional deceleration by K1 and K2 is equal to or greater than DT, and a value derived by multiplying the target additional deceleration by K3 and K4 is less than DT, to maintain the torque reduction control.

Abstract: A vehicle control method is applied to a vehicle 1 in which a front wheel 2 is driven by an engine 4, and the method includes a basic torque setting step of setting basic torque to be generated by the engine 4, based on an operational state of the vehicle 1; a deceleration torque setting step of setting deceleration torque, based on an increase in steering angle of a steering apparatus 5 mounted on the vehicle 1; a torque generation step of controlling the engine 4 so that torque based on the basic torque and the deceleration torque is generated; and a deceleration torque changing step of changing the deceleration torque, based on a vehicle-width-direction mounting position of a steering wheel 6 and an operation direction of the steering wheel 6 when the steering angle is increased. Thus, vehicle posture control is performed in consideration of the vehicle-width-direction mounting position of the steering wheel 6 and the operation direction of the steering wheel 6, so that a driver fatigue reduction effect of the vehicle posture control can be secured appropriately.

Abstract: A control system for a vehicle is provided, which includes a driving force source configured to generate torque for driving drive wheels, a steering wheel, a steering angle sensor, and a controller. Based on the detected steering angle, the controller reduces the driving torque to add deceleration to the vehicle when the steering wheel is being turned in one direction, and increases the torque to add acceleration when the steering wheel is being turned back in the other direction. The controller controls the torque, when the steering wheel is being turned in the returning direction from a state where it is turned in the one direction, so as to add forward acceleration until the steering wheel returns to a neutral position, and when the steering wheel is then being turned in the other direction after passing through the neutral position, so as not to add the forward acceleration.
