摘要： A method for purifying an oxydiphthalic anhydride comprises diluting a first mixture comprising an oxydiphthalic anhydride, a solvent, a catalyst, and an inorganic salt with a solvent, to provide a second mixture having a solids content of 10 to 30 percent based on total weight of the second mixture; filtering and washing the solids of the second mixture at a temperature below the crystallization point temperature of the oxydiphthalic anhydride to provide a third mixture; hydrolyzing the third mixture by adding water and a water-soluble acid to form a fourth mixture; heating the fourth mixture; then cooling to provide a solid-liquid mixture, optionally decanting a portion of the liquid, rediluting the remaining solid-liquid mixture, then filtering to provide a solid component; washing the solid component with water to provide a fifth mixture of oxydiphthalic tetraacid and water; ring closing the oxydiphthalic tetraacid to provide oxydiphthalic anhydride, and filtering the oxydiphthalic anhydride.

摘要： a method for preparing an oxydiphthalic anhydride comprises contacting, under reactive and substantially anhydrous conditions in a reactor, at least one halophthalic anhydride containing more than 250 ppm chlorophthalide impurity with a carbonate of the formula M2CO3, wherein M is an alkali metal, in the presence of a catalytic proportion of at least one phase transfer catalyst selected from the group consisting of hexaalkylguanidinium halides and alpha,omega-bis(pentaalkylguanidinium)alkane salts, phosphonium salts, phosphazenium salts, pyridinium salts, phosphazenium salts, ammonium salts, and combinations thereof. The phase transfer catalyst is present in a sufficient amount to prepare the oxydiphthalic anhydride when the chlorophthalide is present in an amount that is more than 250 ppm, and the oxydiphthalic anhydride is produced in a yield, based on the carbonate, of at least 70%.

摘要： The subject application is directed to a system and method for customizing a document processor interface. A user successfully logs onto a document processing device and selects to generate a customized graphical user-interface. When the user has previously created such an interface, the device retrieves stored selection data associated with the user and uses such data to selectively generate a customized interface. To create the customized interface, the user first selects desired functions to be displayed. The selected functions are then stored in association with user identification information by the device. A tangible output document is capable of being generated inclusive of encoded indicia representing selection data and user identification information. Subsequent scanning of the tangible output document by the device, or another document processing device, enables the scanning device to authenticate the user and generate a customized interface in accordance with the selection data contained in the encoded indicia.

摘要： A system and method for sharing updated document templates. A user first selects whether to request a desired document processing operation involving one or more stored scan templates or to modify one of the stored templates. The document scan templates are stored on an associated storage, with each scan template including schema data. The schema data represents attributes associated with the corresponding template. When the user requests a document processing operation, a list of templates associated with the operation are retrieved and displayed to the user. The user then selects the desired template, inputs modification data, and the document processing device performs the selected operation on the updated template. When the user elects to modify a template, the user opens the schema associated therewith, inputs the modifications, and stores the template in the template storage for use by devices on the network. Creation of a new template requires the user to input schema data, attributes and classes, and then save the new template in the template storage.
