    摘要: The cheek and lip retractor for dentistry comprises respective cheek portions and lip portions for the upper and lower lip, the lip portions comprising a lip shield and mucous pads which are separate and spaced apart from the lip shield, the cheek portions and lip portions being connected to each other by flexible connecting elements, and the connecting elements being disposed between the lip shield and the mucous pad. Such a retractor allows a largely free treatment of the tooth portions to be treated and provides a comfortable fit for the patient.

    摘要: A dental care composition for the prophylactic dental hygiene (prophylactic paste) comprises as principal components the following: from 10 to 80% by weight, preferably from 35 to 55% by weight, of a polishing body containing plate shaped rock particles, preferably perlite particles; from 20 to 80% by weight, preferably from 40 to 50% by weight, of a nonionic, preferably polymeric surface active agent; and from 0 to 20% by weight, preferably from 1 to 10% by weight, of an emulsifier or emulsifier blend. Polyethylene glycols (Macrogol) having molecular weights of from 200 to 1,000, preferably of from 200 to 600, are particularly suited as pure compounds or as a blend of different variants having different molecular weights. The dental care composition shows a smooth and soft consistency and has only a weak tendency of being splashed during its application in the mouth.

    摘要: The method for joining a metal foil with a synthetic material foil comprises unwinding both materials from a supply roll each, and subjecting the synthetics foil, prior to the application of an adhesive, to a corona discharge on a narrow border region. The metal foil and the synthetic material foil are then pressed together and irradiated by ultraviolet radiation causing polymerization of the adhesive. The composite foil material thus obtained is transferred to a further processing station. There the dental matrix can be punched out of such a composite sheet material, having a high tensile strength, whose metal portion can easily be inserted between two adjacent teeth whereas the transparent synthetic material part allows light curing of the dental filling material.

    摘要: The interdental wedge for the use during the insertion of approximal fillings of light curing synthetic material comprises the combination of a sole portion having disposed thereon an insert of a light conducting synthetic material and a light conducting element, such as a light reflector, to conduct the light necessary for curing and coming from the front surface of the wedge on the filling. The sole portion consists of a material which is compressible and requires strongly increasing forces for further compression; thus, the wedge can snugly fit to the approximal contour of the tooth to be treated and exert sufficiently high separation forces. Preferably, the material of the sole portion is wood whose fibers are preferably aligned in lengthwise direction of the wedge, and/or a synthetic material having included therein compressible filler particles. Thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers are preferred synthetic materials. Such a wedge combines the advantages of wood or a synthetic material having similar compression characteristics for a good adhesion of the wedge and sufficient separating forces, with the advantages of a wedge made of a light conducting synthetic material, in order to bring about or to accelerate the curing of the synthetic filling.

    摘要: In the electroerosive machining of workpieces with the aid of a tool electrode, a pulse-like d.c. voltage is applied between the workpiece and electrode, the applied voltage being in the form of pulse groups where the pulse groups are formed of individual pulses having current amplitudes of selected magnitudes. Preferably, the individual current pulses belonging to the pulse group have successively rising amplitudes. Several individually controllable power switching circuits are connected in parallel to the work gap. The primary side of a pulse transformer connected to each power switching circuit is driven by a control device for the time shaping of the pulse groups. At least one controlled switch belonging to each power switching circuit is connected to a second control device for shaping the current pulse amplitudes.
