A molding composition having good surface gloss, high elongation at break and good thermoplastic processability is disclosed. The composition contains (A) a graft polymer that is obtained by free-radical polymerization of resin-forming vinyl monomers in the presence of rubber in latex form, (B) a copolymer of styrene and acrylonitrile and an optional (C) a resin selected from the group consisting of polycarbonates, polyester-carbonates, polyesters and polyamides. The preparation of the graft polymer is characterized in that (i) before the start of the grafting polymerization reaction the rubber latex is brought to a pH of 9 to 11, (ii) the redox initiator components are employed in amounts of 0.1 to 2.5 wt. % (based on the monomers metered in) and (iii) during the entire grafting polymerization reaction the pH remains constant±0.5 and in the range of 11.0 to 8.8, and (iv) the temperature difference between the start and end of the reaction is at least 10° C.

The composition contains aromatic polycarbonate, graft polymer, a specifically structured phosphorous compound, fluorinated polyolefin and inorganic compound with an average particle size no greater that 200 nm and an optional vinyl(co)polymer. The inventive composition is characterized in its improved stress cracking resistance and mechanical properties.

The composition contains a mixture of two aromatic polycarbonates having differing solution viscosities, a vinyl(co)polymer made from at least two ethylenically unsaturated monomers, a graft polymer obtainable by graft polymerization of at least two monomers selected from chloroprene, 1,3-butadiene, isoprene, styrene, acrylonitrile, ethylene, propylene, vinyl acetate and (meth)acrylates with 1 to 18 carbon atoms in the alcohol component, a phosphorous compound, a fluorinated polyolefin and an inorganic compound with an average particle size no greater than 200 nm. The inventive composition is additionally characterized in its improved stress cracking resistance.

A co-grafted polymer dispersion comprising blocks of an organopolysiloxane with OH functional groups, blocks of an ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer containing about 5 to 99% by weight of incorporated vinyl ester, and blocks of vinyl monomer units polymerized in the presence of mixtures of the organopolysiloxane and ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer, the organopolysiloxane and ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer blocks being linked via vinyl polymer bridges. The dispersions mixed with suitable catalysts, can cure under the influence of atmospheric moisture to elastic tack-free rubbers suitable as sealants.
