Abstract:
In an apparatus for feeding printing plates to a plate cylinder of a printing press, the printing plate is prealigned on stops outside the plate cylinder with a lateral offset and with an oblique skew. Then the printing plate is fed, in the thusly aligned position to the register pins of the plate cylinder, wherein the printing plate is finally aligned by lateral displacement and by a pivoting movement about the first register pin, until the printing plate bears with its receptacles against both register pins.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for automatically feeding printing plates to a rotary printing press include conveying devices spaced apart from each other transversely to a conveying direction for feeding the printing plate to a clamping device having register pins. One of the conveying devices is lifted briefly off the printing plate in the event of a lack of in-register contact while the other conveying device remains in contact with the printing plate and thus ensures a forward drive of the printing plate, while the lifting of one conveying device promotes stress relief in the printing plate. A sheetfed rotary printing press having the apparatus, is also provided.

Abstract:
A device for feeding printing plates to a plate cylinder includes a pressure roller for pressing the printing plate against the circumferential surface of the plate cylinder when the printing plate is being mounted. In order to compensate for uneven pressing forces resulting from a bending of the pressure roller, cylindrical segments are provided that have different widths and/or different diameters and/or different distances between the segments. A printing unit of a rotary printing press having the device, is also provided.
Abstract:
An apparatus for transporting a sheet material through a sheet-processing machine is described. The transport system for the sheet material has a drive that is driven independently of the cylinders on the stations processing the sheet material in the sheet-processing machine. The transport system provides at least synchronization of a transport device conveying the sheet material and of the cylinders.
Abstract:
Transfer cylinder with an electromotive drive unit includes a common bearing for a rotor of the electromotive drive unit and for the transfer cylinder, the bearing being disposed in a unit of a printing press supporting the drive unit and the transfer cylinder.
Abstract:
A synchronizing roller arrangement for transporting sheets into a sheet-processing machine, the synchronizing roller arrangement being mounted on a cyclically rotating shaft and pressable with adjustable contact pressure against a transport roller, and including a rotatably supported element, and a vertically-adjustable element whereon the rotatably supported element is secured.
Abstract:
In a sheet-fed printing press, there is provided a device for receiving sheet piles thereon, including a pile table movable up and down, spacers disposed on the pile table, and pile supports of respective sizes corresponding to respective sizes or formats of the sheets disposable on the pile supports, the spacers being distributed over and locally fixed to the pile table so that the respective pile supports of varying sizes rests on a selected number of spacers sufficient for safely supporting the respective pile supports against tilting, the pile supports of respectively smaller size resting on a smaller number of the respective spacers than the pile supports of respectively larger size.
Abstract:
A friction roller for the inking or moistening unit of a printing press, the roller axle of which is mounted on the side frames of the printing press, and the roller body of which is driven through frictional engagement by the inking or moistening unit roller, the roller body executing a to-and-fro movement on the roller axle in its rotation, in such a manner that the lateral stroke movement of the roller body can be controlled and executed with any desired frequency.
Abstract:
A device for performing a circumferential-register adjustment in a sheet-fed rotary printing press with a printing unit including an impression cylinder, a blanket cylinder and at least one plate cylinder engageable with the blanket cylinder and drivable by the impression cylinder via an intermediate gearwheel, comprising a mounting movable with respect to the machine frame, the one plate cylinder being held in the mounting together with the intermediate gearwheel as well as with inking and dampening units assigned to the plate cylinder, the mounting being held in the machine frame so as to be swivellable about an axis disposed parallel to axes of the cylinders of the printing unit and lying at a point of intersection of a straight connecting line through the axes of the impression cylinder and the intermediate gearwheel.
