摘要: The present invention provides an anticoagulant agent including a first element capable of inhibiting coagulation and a second element capable of targeting an activated platelet wherein upon administration of the agent to a subject the second element directs the first element to the activated platelet. Also provided is a probe for detecting a blood vessel abnormality including (a) a binding element capable of targeting an activated platelet and (b) a label. Applicant has shown that agents and probes directed to activated platelets are useful in the diagnosis and therapy of coagulation disorders.

摘要: A method and device for detecting the position of a transparent conveyor belt including directing light beams (2) onto the region of an edge (3) of the conveyor belt, detecting a jump in intensity of the light beam (2, 2′) as a consequence of the partial insertion of the conveyor belt into the beam path (2) and evaluating the detected jump in intensity in order to determine the position of the conveyor belt, wherein the light beams (2) are linear polarized light and the beam path (2) is directed at an angle or irradiation (&agr;) between 40° and 80° of the light (2) onto the bounding surface (7) in such a way that a high degree of reflection is achieved and reflected light and non-reflected light is detected.

摘要: A printing system for printing on a web of media traveling along a web transport path including a plurality of print stations located along the web transport path, each print station including a printing cylinder having a printing cylinder circumference for printing on the web of media at a corresponding print location. A plurality of web-transport rollers are used to guide the web of media along the web transport path, each having a roller circumference that is substantially equal to an integer fraction of the printing cylinder circumference.

摘要: A printing system for printing on a web of media traveling along a web transport path, including a plurality of printheads for printing on the web of media, each of the printheads being configured to print at one or more corresponding print locations along the web transport path. A plurality of web transport rollers guide the web of media along the web transport path. A drive roller causes the web of media to move along the web transport path. The drive roller has an affixed driven gear driven by a motor using a gear train including one or more drive gears which transfer torque from the motor to the driven gear. The driven gear and the drive gears are constrained to rotate substantially an integer number of times as the web of media is advanced along the web transport path between two successive print locations.

摘要: A method for automatically adapting a write cycle to a movement of a web-shaped medium in a digital printing machine, as a function of the thickness of the web-shaped medium guided around first and second transport or guide rollers, includes providing the first and second transport or guide rollers having a known diameters, the diameter of the second being different from the diameter of the first. A rotational speed ratio N(T) between the first and second transport or guide rollers (9, 11) is determined while the printing material (6) is guided around the transport or guide rollers (9, 11). The write cycle is determined at least with the use of the previously determined rotational speed ratio N(T).
