Abstract:
A device for decurling flat printing materials for a machine for processing the printing materials has a guide surface section whereover the printing materials are drawable. The guide surface section are formed with a decurling notch, and with suction openings arranged along and in the decurling notch and penetrating the guide surface section, and an evacuation system fluidically connected to the suction openings. The suction openings are formed in successive groups thereof, and the evacuation system including a plurality of chambers, of which respective chambers are assigned to a respective one of the groups of suction openings, the chambers being selectively settable with at least one of equal and unequal negative pressures therein during operation, and a machine for processing the printing materials having the decurling device therein.
Abstract:
A circulatory feed system has roller pairs for feeding a stimulable phosphor sheet in a substantially horizontal attitude. Each of the roller pairs comprises first and second coupled rollers interconnected by a shaft for rotation in unison with each other, and first and second separate rollers which are independent of each other. The first and second separate rollers are disposed below the first and second coupled rollers, i.e., in a region toward which the stimulable phosphor sheet is flexed.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method to decelerate printed product in a stacking process is provided. The printed product may be a product such as printed paper, foil, or plastic. A continuous web of product may be cut into single items, one item at a time, and then the items may be stacked on top of one another. The apparatus may be comprised of a cylinder, which is comprised of a vacuum chamber having perforations and a blowing chamber having perforations. A first slow delivery tape, and first and second fast delivery tapes may also be provided. Each of the delivery tapes may have perforations to allow air to pass through and from or to the cylinder. The first slow delivery tape is wrapped around the cylinder. The first and second fast delivery tapes are wrapped around rollers and may help to create separation between individual cut items and may control moving items. The first slow delivery tape may slow down items to allow stacking of items. The apparatus may also include first and second brushes ratably connected to housing. One or the other brush can push down on individual items to move an item closer towards the cylinder. The apparatus may additionally include a cutting device, which cuts individual items from a continuous web. The slow delivery tapes may also travel over a slow delivery tape vacuum and the second fast delivery tapes may travel over a fast delivery vacuum.
Abstract:
A driving device for an elongated element such as a cable includes a device for simultaneously and symmetrically moving two driving track belts apart or closer together in relation to the elongated element. With this driving device, the two track belts can be brought against the elongated element while the elongated element's longitudinal axis remains constant. A single handle allows for simple adjustment of a gap between the two driving track belts and a spring device absorbs instantaneous variation of a transverse dimension of the elongated element.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a device for arranging at least two sheets in a shingled mode of arrangement, wherein a first sheet is moved in a paper travelling direction, and a second sheet is simultaneously moved in a direction at an angle relative to the paper travelling direction in such a way that the at least two sheets are slid one on top of the other. Alternatively, the first and the second sheet are moved in a first and in a second direction at respective different angles relative to a paper travelling direction. Another alternative is to move the two sheets in a first and in a second direction at different speeds but at identical angles relative to the paper travelling direction.
Abstract:
A suction roller is used to transport aligned sheets in a sheet processing machine. A portion of the circumferential surface of the roller has suction ports. A drive motor is provided for the suction roller and can drive the suction roller at varying speeds. Sheets are transported by the suction roller to a subsequent transport system.
Abstract:
An automatic document feeding apparatus for feeding a document to a flatbed scanner to conduct the scanning processes. The automatic document feeding apparatus includes an upper body, a lower body, a feeding path and at least a linkage set. The linkage set is able to uphold the upper body separated completely from the lower body. In this case, the spaces left between the upper body and the lower body is relatively wide for users to clear the jammed document. Further, the linkage set comprises plastic pad for providing stopping resistance to maintain said upper body at a certain distance above the lower body.
Abstract:
An automatic document feeder (ADF) capable of releasing jammed documents has a transmission mechanism that includes a removable transmission device. The removable transmission device is moved away and thus the transmission mechanism is disconnected when necessary. The disconnection of the transmission mechanism makes the releasing of the jammed documents much easier. The removable transmission device can be removed by the force for removing the jammed documents, or by using a spring, a leaf spring, or an electromagnetic switch.
Abstract:
A sheet transporting device assembly, such as a idler mounting assembly, of an image forming device has a frame portion attachably detachable to a guide member. The frame portion has at least one opening able to receive at least one idler roll. Each idler roll is rotatably attached to a shaft. The shaft is moveably attached to the frame by an attachment structure. The idler mounting assembly is pivotably and precisely aligned with the outer mainframe so that the components of the outer frame and the idler mounting assembly are aligned, and further allows the user to gain access the space around the guide member and between the idler rolls and drive rolls of the outer frame.
Abstract:
An apparatus for feeding printed products to a processing unit includes a rotating conveyor drum which individually pulls the stacked printed products from a magazine; the conveyor drum has on an approximately circular travel path a gripping device formed by at least one movable gripping arm for receiving the printed product from the separating device, wherein the gripping device can be controlled into an open position or closed position by means of a cam mechanism connected to a closed guide track arranged in a vertical plane relative to the axis of rotation and stationary relative to the axis of rotation. The movable gripping arm of the gripping device is connected to a double roller lever which is mounted on the conveyor drum so as to be pivotable about an axis extending parallel to the axis of rotation of the conveyor drum and which travels in two closed guide tracks arranged stationary in at least one vertical plane about the axis of rotation of the conveyor drum.
