A water balloon launching cannon is disclosed. The water balloon launching cannon includes a slotted barrel for rapid and easy loading and uses compressed air as the propelling force for firing the water balloon. Namely, the water balloon launching cannon includes an I-beam support upon which is mounted an air delivery system and the slotted barrel. For ease of disassembly, (1) the air delivery system includes quick-release mechanisms and (2) a plunger assembly inside the barrel is held by an easily removable pin. Further, a method of operating and a method using the water balloon launching cannon are disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a Powder supply system for supplying powder to a powder spray device comprising a powder supply hopper; a powder fluidizing device for fluidizing powder positioned in the powder supply hopper; a powder pump for conveying powder from the powder supply hopper to the spray device. According to the invention the powder supply hopper is pivotally mounted to a support structure. The invention further relates to a method for colour change in a powder supply system.
Abstract:
A lifting device comprises a support element and an actuator for pivotably moving a lifting arm. A load cell outputs a load signal from the actuator. A first torque sensor outputs a first torque signal from at least one of a pivot between the lifting arm and the support element and along the lifting arm. A second torque sensor outputs a second torque signal from at least one of the pivot between the actuator and the support element, the pivot between the actuator and the lifting arm and along the actuator. A displacement sensor outputs a displacement signal from the actuator, and a calculator calculates a weight at a distal end of the lifting arm based on the distributed load signal, first and second torque signals, and the displacement signal.

Abstract:
A flow measuring arrangement for measuring flow of a medium through a measuring tube, including: at least one constriction located in the measuring tube, which effects a reduction of a volume through which the medium flows internally in the measuring tube, and therewith a change in pressure conditions internally in the measuring tube, dependent on dimensions of the constriction and dependent on flow. A measuring system connected to the measuring tube which serves to measure a pressure (Δp, p) dependent on flow through the measuring tube and dependent on the dimensions of the constriction. Measuring electronics, which determines flow on the basis of the measured pressure (Δp, p). The flow measuring arrangement can, with minimal degradation of flow through the measuring tube, perform an automatic monitoring of its functional ability. To this end, the flow measuring arrangement additionally includes: at least one deflectable membrane applied to one of the measuring tube constrictions internally in the measuring tube, wherein deflection of the membrane effects a change, dependent on an amplitude of the deflection, of a volume through which medium flows internally in the measuring tube; an apparatus (23) for producing a time variable deflection of the membrane according to a predetermined time-dependent deflection profile; and, connected to the apparatus and to the pressure measuring system, a diagnostic system, which determines at least one effect of time-dependent changes of deflection of the membrane on the measured pressure (Δp, p), and which produces a diagnosis of the functional ability of the flow measuring arrangement based on the predetermined time-dependent deflection profile and effects, as determined by the diagnostic system, of associated time-dependent changes of the deflection of the membrane on the measured pressure (Δp, p).
Abstract:
An image sequence captured at a first image rate is encoded as an encoded image sequence at a second image rate with information in the encoded image sequence indicative of images that are repeated when decoded. To assist in editing a video program using the encoded image sequence, the information in the encoded image sequence indicative of images that are repeated when decoded may be cleared. Further, image index information for the encoded image sequence may be generated. This image index information is used to map a temporal position of an image in a decoded image sequence to a position of corresponding data in the encoded image sequence. Temporal positions used with the image index information correspond to the first image rate. Editing a video program involves defining a sequence of clips that reference source encoded image sequences using edit points. Each clip has a start and end points in its corresponding source and a position for the clip in the edited video program. The temporal resolution of these edit points corresponds to the first image rate. The information in the encoded image sequence indicative of images that are repeated when decoded may be ignored or may have already been cleared. An edited video program may be output as an encoded image sequence, using the source encoded image sequences referenced by the sequence of clips. The encoded image sequence is constructed according to the edited sequence of clips, using the source encoded image sequences. In particular, the encoder clears any information in the source encoded image sequences indicative of images that are repeated when decoded. In the output encoded image sequence, information indicative of images that are repeated when decoded is set according to a cadence associated with a difference between the first image rate and the second image rate.
