    摘要: A Channel State Information (CSI) feedback method and a User Equipment (UE) are provided for better support of Joint Transmission (JT) and Beamforming/Coordinated Scheduling (CB/CS). For JT, phase information for an adjacent Base Station (BS) is fed back. For CB/CS, enhanced CSI for an adjacent BS is fed back. The UE according to the present invention includes: a coordinated BS set determining unit configured for determining a set of coordinated BSs participating in multi-BS coordination, the set of coordinated BSs containing a serving BS and at least one non-serving BS; and a CSI feedback unit configured for feeding back CSI for JT or CB/CS for each non-serving BS in the set of coordinated BSs. The present invention has the advantages of simple implementation and low overhead and is applicable in LTE-A and 4G systems.

The base station optimizes a transmitter according to feedback information from the user equipment.

    摘要: A wireless communications apparatus that it is useable as a spectrum analyzer and as a wireless receiver. The wireless communications apparatus has a radio circuit that is configured to receive EM radiation. Signal processing logic receives signals from the radio circuit based on the EM radiation. The signal processing logic has a receiver operational mode that processes the signals in accordance with a communication protocol and outputs data encoded in the signals to a host processor. The signal processing logic has a spectrum analyzer operational mode that generates frequency domain data and passes the frequency domain data to the host processor. The frequency domain data describe strength versus frequency of the EM radiation. The host processes the data in accordance with the configuration currently in use. Therefore, the wireless communications apparatus operates as a receiver in one operational mode and as a real-time spectrum analyzer in another operational mode.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for selecting physical cylinders (cylinders accessible for read/write operations) in a disc drive is provided. The disc drive includes at least one rotatable disc. The disc drive also includes a first head, which is positionable adjacent a first disc surface, and a second head, which is positionable adjacent a second disc surface. The first disc surface has a first plurality of greycode tracks and the second disc surface has a second plurality of greycode tracks. Each greycode track of the second plurality of greycode tracks corresponds to a different greycode track of the first plurality of greycode tracks, thereby forming a plurality of greycode cylinders, with each greycode cylinder of the plurality of greycode cylinders including a pair of corresponding greycode tracks. The physical cylinders are a subset (less than all) of the plurality of the greycode cylinders. The method of selecting the physical cylinders includes determining whether the first plurality of greycode tracks or the second plurality of greycode tracks demonstrates greater track eccentricity, to thereby obtain a maximum track eccentricity surface and a corresponding maximum eccentricity head. The maximum track eccentricity surface is one of the first and second disc surfaces and the maximum eccentricity head is a corresponding one of the first and second heads. The maximum eccentricity head is used to locate at least one of the physical cylinders.
