    摘要: A light emitting device capable of suppressing drop in luminance or luminance unevenness of a light emitting element due to deterioration of an electro luminescent material and capable of switching an image direction vertically to horizontally without a frame memory additionally provided. The light emitting device of the invention comprises in each pixel first to fourth transistors, a light emitting element, and a signal line. The first transistor and the second transistor control the connection between the signal line and a gate of the third transistor, the fourth transistor controls a current value supplied to the light emitting element, and the third transistor selects whether the current is supplied to the light emitting element or not. Further, the first transistor and the second transistor are switched separately.

    摘要: Degradations in light emitting elements occur with the passage of time. The invention provides a method of driving a light-emitting device provided with a plurality of pixels, which includes a light-emitting means with a first and a second electrodes, a drive means for supplying the light-emitting means with a current in response to an analog video signal, and a setting means for setting a sustaining period and an off time period within a frame period. The method of driving a light-emitting device is characterized by including the steps of: supplying the light-emitting means with the current in response to the analog video signal during the sustaining period; and turning the drive means off thereby to make the light-emitting means nonluminous or making the first and the second electrodes identical in potential thereby to make the light-emitting means nonluminous during the off time period.

According to the present invention, a display device in which variation of an electrical characteristic of a TFT is reduced, and display unevenness is reduced is provided. To obtain the display device, the fluctuation ratio of ON current value in a saturation region of adjacent TFTs is set to be equal to or less than ±12% in a TFT array substrate in which a plurality of TFTs are arranged.
