    摘要: Yarns comprising fibers comprising a fluorinated polyester blend are prepared by melt blending a fluorovinyl ether functionalized polyester with a non-fluorinated polyester. The fluoroether functionalized polyester can be a homopolymer or a copolymer. The yarns and fibers, and the textile and carpet goods produced therefrom, exhibit durable soil, oil, and water repellency.

    摘要: The present invention provides a biodegradable, biocompatible polymer that is capable of forming particles (micelles), vesicles, surfaces and membranes, and other structures in which a biologically active agent, e.g. a drug, can be incorporated in such a way that its release to the host can be controlled to a high degree of accuracy, or in where surfaces of the formed polymers can be used to increase the hemeo compatibility of biomaterials. The present invention provides polymer compounds comprising at least one biodegradable polyester having a terminal functional group based on hydrophilic moieties from a phospholipid.

    摘要: A method for making a multi-branched polymer includes reacting a first polymeric unit with a functional cyclic compound to form a functional macroinitiator compound with a cyclic moiety. The functional macroinitiator compound is reacted with an amine functional compound to open the cyclic moiety and form a first functional group and a second functional group. To form the branched polymer, at least one of a second polymeric unit is propagated from the first functional group and a third polymeric unit is propagated from the second functional group.
