    Abstract: An electrolyte including a dinitrile compound, a trinitrile compound, and propyl propionate. Based on the total weight of the electrolyte, the weight percentage of the dinitrile compound is X, the weight percentage of the trinitrile compound is Y, and the weight percentage of the propyl propionate is Z, wherein, about 2 wt %≤(X+Y)≤about 8 wt %, about 0.1≤(X/Y)≤about 6, about 30 wt %≤Z≤about 50 wt %, and about 0.01≤(Y/Z)≤about 0.3; wherein the dinitrile compound is one or more compounds selected from adiponitrile, 1,4-dicyano-2-butene, and ethylene glycol bis(2-cyanoethyl) ether; and the trinitrile compound is one or more compounds selected from 1,3,5-pentanetricarbonitrile; 1,2,3-propanetrinitrile; 1,3,6-hexanetricarbonitrile; 1,2,6-hexanetricarbonitrile; 1,2,3-tris(2-cyanoethoxy)propane; 1,2,4-tris(2-cyanoethoxy)butane; 1,1,1-tris(cyanoethoxymethylene)ethane; 1,1,1-tris(cyanoethoxymethylene)propane; 3-methyl-1,3,5-tris(cyanoethoxy)pentane; 1,2,7-tris(cyanoethoxy)heptane; 1,2,6-tris(cyanoethoxy)hexane; 1,2,5-tris(cyanoethoxy)pentane; and any combination thereof.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a wound-type electrode assembly comprising a first and second electrode plates, a first and second electrode tabs, and a separator. The first and second electrode plates include a first current collector and active substance layer, and a second current collector and active substance layer. Two surfaces of the first current collector of the first winding start section of the first electrode plate are not coated with first active substance layer and defined as a first start blank current collector, the first start blank current collector is welded to a first electrode tab. The second pole piece comprises a second groove, a bottom of which is a second current collector and a circumference thereof is a second active substance layer; the second electrode tab is accommodated in the second groove and electrically connected to the second current collector at the second groove.

    Abstract: The subject application relates to an electrochemical device including a cathode, an anode and an electrolyte. The cathode includes a fluoropolymer which has an X-ray diffraction spectrum with a diffraction peak in the range of 34°≤2θ≤38°. The electrolyte includes a compound having 2 to 3 cyano groups. The electrochemical device of the present application has excellent cycle and high temperature storage properties.

    Abstract: An electrochemical device including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolytic solution. The negative electrode includes a negative current collector and a negative active material layer formed on the negative current collector. The negative active material layer contains a negative active material. A conductive material is disposed between the negative active material layer and the negative current collector. An average particle diameter of the conductive material is smaller than that of the negative active material. The negative active material layer possesses a specific weight. The electrochemical device improves high-temperature cycle expansion performance and overcharge protection performance.

    Abstract: An electrolyte includes a fluorinated cyclic carbonate, a multi-nitrile compound having an ether bond and a cyclic carbonate having a carbon-carbon double bond. Based on a total weight of the electrolyte, a weight percentage (Cf) of the fluorinated cyclic carbonate is greater than a weight percentage (Cn) of the multi-nitrile compound having an ether bond. The electrolyte can control the expansion of the electrochemical device, so that the electrochemical device has excellent cycle, storage and/or floating-charge performance.
