    Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to UP transmission for a device in an inactive state. The first device in an inactive state performs a small data transmission procedure between the first device and a second device and transmits an indication to the second device. The indication indicates the following a presence of non-small data transmission data to be transmitted by the first device and information associated with the data. Through this solution, the second device may make a proper and reasonable determination about whether to resume a radio resource control connection with the terminal device and whether to stop the ongoing small data transmission procedure.

    Abstract: Apparatuses, methods and software are provided. The first apparatus comprises at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program codes; the at least one memory and the computer program codes are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the device at least to transmit a transport block of a HARQ process on preconfigured resources for an uplink transmission to a second apparatus while starting a first timer and a second timer for the HARQ process. The first timer indicates a time period during which the transport block is able to be retransmitted, and wherein the second timer is configured to expire before the first timer; monitor a response associated with the transport block from the second apparatus; and in response to the second timer expiring before receiving the response and before expiry of the first timer, retransmit the transport block while restarting the second timer.

    Abstract: A method can include sending, by a first wireless node to a second wireless node, multiple packets, the multiple packets being associated with multiple sequence numbers; sending a poll to the second wireless node, the poll requesting indications of whether the multiple packets were successfully received; setting a polling sequence number to a highest sequence number associated with the multiple packets sent by the first wireless node when the first wireless node sent the poll; starting a poll retransmission timer; receiving a status report from the second wireless node, the status report including a negative acknowledgment sequence number and an acknowledgment sequence number, the negative acknowledgment sequence number being greater than the acknowledgment sequence number; and based on the negative acknowledgment sequence number being equal to or greater than the polling sequence number, reinstating the poll retransmission timer.

    Abstract: According to an example implementation, a method may include transmitting, by a user device to a base station in a wireless network, a system information request for on-demand system information during a random access procedure, where the system information request is a request for one or more parameters that enable the user device to communicate in the wireless network, receiving, by the user device from the base station, an indication of a wait period in which the user device waits before obtaining the on-demand system information, waiting, by the user device, a time duration during the wait period, and monitoring, by the user device after expiration of the wait period, a system information window in which a system information message having the on-demand system information is broadcasted by the base station.
