Abstract:
The invention provides a biologically active substance transfer sheet which can be formed with simple steps, a cell culture kit which comprises a cell culture plate and a biologically active substance transfer sheet, a producing method therefor, and a method for screening cell culture conditions with cells. The transfer sheet is prepared by providing biologically active substances having biological activity in plural areas on a sheet base, and biologically active substances are supplied from the sheet to culture regions provided on the plate.
Abstract:
Provided is a method of manufacturing an electronic circuit. The method includes the steps of: forming a nucleus comprising thermo-expandable particles on a conductive layer provided on an insulating substrate; forming an insulating film on the conductive layer having the nucleus-formed thereon; forming an opening by heating the substrate to expand the thermo-expandable particles and form a cleavage in the insulating film; and forming another conductive layer comprising a conductive material on the opening and the insulating film such that the upper and lower conductive layers are electrically connected to each other via the conductive material through the insulating film. This allows formation of a through hole in an electric circuit with ease without photolithographic processes such as exposure, development, and etching.

Abstract:
To provide a recording apparatus capable of detecting the deterioration of insulation to prevent the damage of a recording head by detecting whether or not there is the current leakage from a surface of a conveyor belt. The inventive recording apparatus includes a conveyor belt for conveying a recording medium comprising a plurality of inner electro-conductive members, a charging section for charging the inner electro-conductive members by a high voltage to attract the recording medium onto the conveyor belt by an electro-static force, a recording head for carrying out the recording on the recording medium attracted onto the conveyor belt, a leakage detection roller for detecting the deterioration of the insulation of the conveyor belt, and a control section for treating the abnormality in accordance with the results detected by the leakage detection roller.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sheet conveying device for attracting a sheet by electric power and for conveying the sheet, the sheet conveying device comprising a belt arranged with an electrode and a plurality of electric supplying members being aligned in a sheet conveying direction for supplying electric voltage to the electrode. An electric voltage value for an electric supplying members arranged at a primary area upstream in a sheet conveying direction is lower than an electric voltage value for an electric supplying members arranged at a secondary area downstream of the primary area in a sheet conveying direction.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus includes a recording head for performing recording on recording paper, the recording head having three or more types of inks of different densities but of the same color. A combination of the inks used to record a pixel of a grayscale image, which is to be recorded on the recording paper, is decided based upon the pixel by a data distribution unit which refers to ink density data and combination data. Recording by the recording head is controlled, based upon the combination of inks decided, by a unit which controls the recording head and paper feed.
Abstract:
Optical recording mediums are prepared by extrusion molding. In the extrusion molding, a thermoplastic resin heated to a given temperature is pressed between a roll stamper and a roll opposite thereto. A gap between the roll stamper and the roll is precisely defined by belt members fixed on each side of the roll where the roll does not come into touch with the thermoplastic resin. The joints of the respective belt members are formed at positions different from each other on the periphery of the roll. Alternatively the gap may be defined by cutting the roll substrate at a part on which the stamper member is fixed, or by interposing endless belts with a given thickness between the roll stamper and the roll. The stamper member provided on the roll stamper is reduced in stress, and has a surface precision of 10 .mu.m or less.
Abstract:
A roll stamper for forming an information recording medium substrate has a stamper member having a pattern corresponding to a pre-format for an information recording medium formed in its obverse surface, fixation members fixed to both end portions of a reverse surface of the stamper so as to be integral with the stamper member, and fit grooves formed in a circumferential surface of a specular roll base parallel to the axis of the specular roll base. The fixation members are fitted in the fit grooves, and the stamper member is fixed on the circumferential surface of the specular roll base. The roll stamper also includes a mechanism for applying a tensile force to the stamper member. This roll stamper is used in an apparatus having an extruder for melting and extruding a resin to form a resin sheet and a specular roll facing the roll stamper to continuously form the information recording medium substrate.
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing a substrate sheet for information recording mediums using a roll stamper including a flexible stamper member having a pattern corresponding to a preformat for an information recording medium, a first fixing member and a second fixing member integrally joined to both ends of the stamper member, and a pair of fit grooves capable of fittingly receiving the fixing members and formed in the periphery of a specular roll substrate in parallel to the axial direction of the specular roll substrate. The fixing members are fitted to the fit grooves so the stamper member is fixed along the periphery of the specular roll substrate between fit grooves. The first fixing member has a first member with a coefficient of linear expansion substantially equal to the coefficient of linear expansion of the stamper member and a second member having a larger coefficient of linear expansion than the coefficient of linear expansion of the first member. The first member is joined to the stamper member and the second member is positioned inside the first member with respect to the second fixing member. The roll stamper is set up to satisfy the relationship of expression (1):.DELTA.L.sub.1 -.DELTA.L.sub.2
Abstract:
A roll stamper has a roll substrate and a stamper fixed thereto and having a convexity and concavity preformat pattern. The stamper has an auxiliary layer, including a material different from that of the stamper and a back surface on which the convexity and concavity preformat pattern is formed. The roll substrate has a low-melting layer on its surface and the auxiliary layer is in contact with the low-melting layer so that the stamper is fixed to the roll substrate.
