Abstract: The present invention relates to a terminal device adapted to perform Licensed Assisted Access, LAA, synchronization and cell discovery, and data reception and transmission on a licensed carrier and on an unlicensed carrier. The terminal device comprises a reception unit adapted to receive, on the licensed carrier, control information message. The control information message includes synchronization and discovery signal information indicating the position of a synchronization and discovery signal on the unlicensed carrier. The reception unit of the terminal device can receive, on the unlicensed carrier at the position indicated by the synchronization and discovery signal information, the synchronization and discovery signal. A timing unit adjusts the timing for transmission and reception of data according to the received synchronization and discovery signal.

Abstract: The invention relates to transmission and reception of data in a wireless communication system. In particular, the predetermined number of repetitions of the same data portion is transmitted over the wireless interface. The receiving device receives the repetitions, attempts their decoding and checks whether the decoding was successful. If the decoding was successful after the predetermined number of repetitions or less, a positive acknowledgement is generated. In addition, a feedback including a bundle size information is generated and transmitted. The bundle size information includes a number of repetitions, smaller or equal to the predetermined number, after which the decoding was successful. The feedback is transmitted to the data transmitting device which may adapt the predetermined number of repetitions accordingly. The invention enables efficient control of the number of repetitions applied which is particularly advantageous for coverage enhancement purposes.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for blind decoding control signal candidates, preconfigured by a base station for a user equipment in a control region of each subframe. A plurality of starting positions is preconfigured between two subsequent subframe boundaries. The subframe is either a partial subframe or a full subframe. A first set of control signal candidates is preconfigured for the UE for the first starting position, and further sets of control signal candidates are preconfigured for the remaining starting positions. The number of control signal candidates of at least one of the further sets is less than the number of control signal candidates of the first set. For each subframe, the UE, for at least the first starting position out of the plurality of starting positions, blind decodes the set of control signal candidates preconfigured for that starting position to receive the one or more control signals.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for allocating radio resources to a user terminal for performing communication between a radio control entity and the user terminal in a communication system. At least first predetermined radio resources are configured in the user terminal for use in connection with a particular carrier and are associated with a particular format of a downlink control information, DCI, message. The user terminal receives a DCI message of the particular format from the radio control entity. Upon receiving the DCI message of the particular format, the user terminal identifies the first predetermined radio resources associated with this received DCI message, and using the identified first predetermined radio resources for communication between the user terminal and the radio control entity via the particular carrier. The particular carrier can be an unlicensed carrier.

Abstract: Provided are an eNB, a UE and wireless communication methods. The eNB, in an embodiment, includes circuitry operative to fill a SPS activation/deactivation field in a DCI with a predetermined pattern of bits; and a transmitter operative to transmit the DCI to a first UE for the first UE to start periodically transmitting signals to a second UE or stop periodically transmitting signals to the second UE based on the SPS activation/deactivation field. The DCI is in a SPS format formed by adopting part or all bits of at least one field of DCI format 5 as the SPS activation/deactivation field, and information supposed to be transmitted in the at least one field is indicated with the assistance of or by RRC or MAC signaling.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a resource allocation procedure for allocating time-frequency radio resources by a scheduler in a mobile communication system. A plurality of numerology schemes are defined, each partitioning a plurality of radio resources of the mobile communication system into resource scheduling units in a different manner. A reference resource set is defined per numerology scheme, each being associated to a set of radio resources usable for being allocated according to the respective numerology scheme. The reference resource set of at least one numerology scheme overlaps with the reference resource set of at least another numerology scheme in the frequency and/or time domain. The resource allocation procedure is performed for allocating radio resources to one or more user terminals according to the numerology schemes. The resource allocation procedure is performed for each numerology scheme based on a scheduling time interval defined for the respective numerology scheme.

Abstract: The invention relates to a transmitting device for performing an initial and one or more retransmissions of data via a sidelink interface. A receiver and processor perform a resource sensing procedure to acquire information about radio resources usable for the device to transmit data at a later point in time. The processor performs an autonomous radio resource allocation to select time-frequency radio resources within a transmission window to be used for performing a first transmission of the data, based on information acquired by the resource sensing procedure. The processor determines a data transmission timing pattern, that indicates a transmission timing for performing one or more transmissions of data. A transmitter performs the first data transmission using the selected time-frequency radio resources and performs the data retransmissions at the transmission timing defined by the determined data transmission timing pattern with respect to the first data transmission.

Abstract: The invention relates to a transmitting device, which performs a resource sensing procedure to acquire information about radio resources usable for transmitting data at a later point in time. After data becomes available for transmission, the transmitting device performs an autonomous radio resource allocation to select radio resources within a transmission window to be used for transmitting the data, based on the information acquired by the resource sensing procedure during a sensing window. The autonomous radio resource allocation comprises selecting radio resources in primary subframes of the transmission window preferably over radio resources in secondary subframes of the transmission window. The secondary subframes correspond to those subframes in the sensing window during which the transmitting device did not perform the resource sensing procedure, and the primary subframes correspond to those subframes in the sensing window during which the transmitting device did perform the resource sensing procedure.
