Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a receiving device, such as a user equipment (UE), may reduce packet congestion associated with communications between the receiving device and a transmitting device, such as a server, via a radio access network (RAN). The receiving device may measure congestion metrics associated with receiving data packets from the transmitting device via the RAN. The congestion metrics may include RAN congestion metrics and transport or application layer congestion metrics associated with the network connection between the receiving device and the transmitting device. The receiving device may estimate packet congestion at the receiving device according to the measured congestion metrics. The receiving device may modify connection parameters of the network connection based on the estimated packet congestion. The receiving device may communicate with the transmitting device over the network connection in accordance with the modified connection parameters.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for implementing reflective quality of service (RQoS) in wireless communication systems. A method for implementing RQoS that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) generally includes receiving a plurality of downlink user data packets from a first base station (BS), determining at least one reflective quality of service (RQoS) mapping rule for one or more uplink packet transmissions based on a subset of the plurality of downlink user data packets, filtering the plurality of downlink user data packets based on the at least one RQoS mapping rule, and forwarding the plurality of downlink user data packets to a corresponding application entity of the UE based on the filtering.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify at least one collision between a periodic reporting of channel state information associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and a periodic reference signal transmission associated with a second RAT, wherein each reference signal transmission of the periodic reference signal transmission is sequentially transmitted via a plurality of antennas based at least in part on a first antenna order. The UE may determine a second antenna order for the periodic reference signal transmission that resolves the at least one collision. The UE may transmit the periodic reference signal transmission using the second antenna order. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus may be a User Equipment (UE) having a first subscription to a first RAT and a second subscription to a second RAT configured to operate using the first RAT, to change from operating using the first RAT to operating using the second RAT to monitor multiple Synchronization Signal Blocks (SSBs) at multiple times prior to performing at least one of decoding a paging message, receiving system information, searching a neighboring frequency, or measuring the neighboring frequency, to return to using the first RAT during a first period between at least one set of adjacent times of the multiple times that the UE monitors for the SSBs, and to change from using the first RAT to using the second RAT to receive the paging message, receive the system information, search the neighboring frequency, or measure the neighboring frequency.

A wireless communication device establishes a network session with a wireless communication network. The wireless communication device reselects a first cell for camping, wherein the first cell is associated with the wireless communication network. The wireless communication device monitors for first system information from the first cell. The wireless communication device reselects a second cell for camping in response to a failure to receive the first system information. The second cell is associated with the wireless communication network and different from the first cell. The wireless communication device maintains the network session during the reselecting the first cell for camping and the reselecting the second cell for camping.

Abstract: A user equipment may, based on a tuneaway, start suspend a first timer and/or deactivate a first counter and may, based on a tuneback, resume the first timer and/or activate the first counter. The first timer and first counter may be configured to be used to determine that a sufficiently large number of sufficiently closely timed beam failure indications have been received and, in response to that determination, initiate an access procedure. A user equipment may also identify an overlap of a timing of at least one radio access technology event and a timing of a tuneaway gap and may, based on the identified overlap of the timing of at least one radio access technology event and the timing of the tuneaway gap, modify the timing of the at least one radio access technology event or the timing of the tuneaway gap.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure propose methods for determining power level of one or more transmitters based on a power level of a primary transmitter when the transmitters are located in close proximity of each other. The power levels may be determined such that a combined power of all the transmitters is compliant with regulatory radio frequency (RF) safety requirements. For certain aspects, power level of the lower priority transmitters may be determined utilizing one or more look-up tables. For another aspect, power level of the lower priority transmitters may be calculated using an algorithm based on the power level of the priority transmitter. In aspects, the power level of lower priority transmitters and the time duration for which the transmitters are active may be selected dynamically so that the time averaged power of the transmitters for a defined period of time falls below the RF exposure limit.

Abstract: The various embodiments provide methods implemented in a MSMA communication device for managing a victim subscription's de-sense by proactively implementing an RF coexistence management strategy on the victim subscription when an RF coexistence event starts. In various embodiments, a MSMA communication device may implement an RF coexistence management strategy by determining when an aggressor subscription will de-sense a victim subscription and configuring the victim to anticipate and mitigate de-sense during the aggressor's transmissions. Thus, the various embodiments may provide dramatic improvements to the victim's overall reception performance and overall user experience.

Abstract: Device-to-device operations are scheduled based on receive and transmit pools that may have a conflict in time domain. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus for resolving time domain conflict in device-to-device communication are provided. The apparatus may compute a first block rate metric for a first device-to-device communication on a first frequency and a second block rate metric for a second device-to-device communication on a second frequency. The apparatus may detect a time-domain conflict between the first device-to-device communication on the first frequency and the second device-to-device communication on the second frequency. The apparatus may prioritize the first device-to-device communication on the first frequency and the second device-to-device communication on the second frequency based on the first block rate metric and the second block rate metric.
