Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured with one or multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs). The UE may support sidelink communications, which may be referred to as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications systems, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications systems, and the like. The UE may provide improvements to resource determination for the sidelink communications by determining whether multiple peer UEs can be space-division multiplexed over time and frequency resources. To mitigate interference between the multiple peer UEs, the UE may transmit a power control request message to one or multiple peer UEs to adjust a transmit power level, and a receive a power control response message from the one or multiple peer UEs accepting or rejecting the transmit power level adjustment. As a result, the UE may experience efficient sidelink operations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications device, such as a roadside unit (RSU) or a user equipment (UE), may transmit a network coding packet on a sidelink to perform an efficient retransmission for multiple packets. In some systems, a base station may coordinate sidelink communications between devices, such as by granting resources for the devices to communicate on the sidelink. The device which transmits the network coding packet may request resources from the base station, and the base station may grant resources for the device to transmit the network coding packet. These techniques may be implemented to prevent the base station from granting resources to the original source UEs for retransmission.

Abstract: In some aspects of the disclosure, a method of wireless communication includes performing a first wireless transmission using a plurality of transmission and reception points (TRPs) of a vehicle. The first wireless transmission is performed based on a first transmit power allocation among the plurality of TRPs. The method further includes, in response to the first wireless transmission, receiving one or more feedback signals indicating a receive status of the first wireless transmission at one or more devices. The method further includes performing a second wireless transmission using the plurality of TRPs based on a second transmit power allocation among the plurality of TRPs. The second transmit power allocation is determined based on at least one received signal strength of the one or more feedback signals.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), may receive, at a processing layer of the UE, sets of discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle parameters from a corresponding set of applications at an application layer of the UE. The UE may determine, based on the sets of DRX parameters, a common DRX cycle to satisfy each of the sets of applications. The UE may transmit the common DRX cycle to one or more layers in the user plane protocol stack of the UE. A base station may also receive a request, from the UE, for a set of DRX cycle parameters that satisfies the common DRX cycle of the UE. The base station may transmit an indication of the set of DRX parameters, and receive, from the UE, a confirmation of a DRX cycle associated with the set of DRX cycle parameters.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for sidelink feedback reporting over an unlicensed spectrum in a wireless communication system. In aspects, a transmitting UE monitors for a feedback response for a sidelink transmission from one or more receiving UEs at each feedback occasion of a sidelink feedback window. A receiving UE attempts to transmit the feedback response by performing a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure at each feedback occasion of the sidelink feedback window. In aspects, the sidelink feedback window may be defined as a plurality of sidelink feedback occasions, or may be defined as a duration of an LBT timer covering a plurality of sidelink feedback occasions. The receiving UE stops attempting to transmit the feedback response once the receiving UE successfully performs an LBT procedure at a feedback occasion, and the transmitting UE stops monitoring for a feedback response a feedback response is successfully received.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating relay of superpositioned sidelink and uplink transmission are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a first communication device includes receiving, from a UE, a MUST transmission including a base layer and an enhancement layer, the base layer comprising a first message for a second communication device and the enhancement layer comprising a second message for the first communication device. The example method also includes decoding the base layer of the MUST transmission to obtain the first message. Additionally, the example method includes receiving a feedback message from the second communication device indicating that the second communication device did not successfully receive the first message. The example method also includes retransmitting the first message to the second communication device in response to the feedback message from the second communication device.
