Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a positioning entity receives a beam report from a network entity, the beam report including beam shape assistance information for one or more downlink transmit beams of a base station, the one or more downlink transmit beams corresponding to positioning reference signal resources to be measured by a user equipment (UE), the beam shape assistance information indicating at least one basis function representing a beam shape of each of the one or more downlink transmit beams or a quantization of a reduced portion of each of the one or more downlink transmit beams, and determines a location of the UE based at least on signal strength measurements of the positioning reference signal resources and the beam shape assistance information.

Abstract: In an aspect, a first wireless node receives, from at least one second wireless node, RS-Ps at a plurality of RS-P MOs of a same RS-P resource, wherein each RS-P MO is transmitted at a different time instance on the same bandwidth of a time interval. The first wireless node performs, for a set of measurement types, one or more measurements of the RS-Ps at each of the plurality of RS-P MOs, and transmits, to a position estimation entity, a measurement report comprising at least one first representative measurement value associated with the time interval for a first respective measurement type of the set of measurement types and a first indication of variance associated with the at least one first representative measurement value across at least part of the plurality of RS-P MOs. The position estimation entity determines a location estimate of a UE based on the measurement report.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for reduced timing between certain downlink communications and responsive uplink communications relative to certain legacy systems (e.g., legacy LTE systems). A user equipment (UE) or base station may be capable of operating using two or more timing configurations that each include an associated time period between receipt of a downlink communication (e.g., a grant of uplink resources or shared channel data) and a responsive uplink communication (e.g., an uplink transmission using the granted uplink resources or feedback of successful reception of the shared channel data). In cases where a UE or base station are capable of two or more timing configurations, a timing configuration for a transmission may be determined and the responsive uplink communication transmitted according to the determined timing configuration.
