    摘要： A slate and tile roofing system includes a base layer of compliant roofing material and a series of tile fasteners fixed along a top portion of the roofing material. A series of weather barrier strips is attached to the series of fasteners and fixed to the roofing material. A series of slate tiles is semi-permanently mounted over the weather barriers to form a prefabricated tile roofing subassembly. The subassembly expedites and facilitates the installation of slate and tile roofs without the need for highly specialized labor.

    摘要： A roofing tile installation system includes spaced rows of installation strips each having an elongated base to which is attached a plurality of spaced apart hooks. The hooks are formed with a profile that engages and presses on underlying tiles and that grips and hooks around the lower edge of an overlying tile. Each tile is positioned and held laterally between a pair of hooks and held vertically on the slope of a roof by a single hook. An improved weatherproofing system includes a second layer of water resistive material which protects an underlying layer of plastic weatherproofing material against exposure to sunlight and erosion from wind and rain.

In an embodiment, a data gathering unit may be configured to query print servers for print events (e.g., occurring in a period of time); parse each print event according to a set of attributes (e.g., user ID, time, print volume, document name, printer ID, etc.); and output each parsed print event to a storage medium (e.g., a database). The data gathering unit may be further linked to a user database (e.g., an employee directory in an enterprise-type system), and configured to associate each print event with one or more extended attributes (e.g., employee name, department name, location, etc.). An interface unit may be configured to provide for customized query and report based on the print events stored in the storage medium.

    摘要： A back-mounted load-carrying device, such as a backpack or a child carrier, having an adjustable waist belt assembly is described. The waist belt assembly is freely slidable between a variety of vertical positions along a rigid frame. A locking mechanism, actuatable while the device is being worn, permits a user to adjust the waist belt assembly to rest comfortably on his hip and around his waist on the fly and subsequently secure the waist belt in the desired position. A pair of hip-load transfer members that are rigid to loads applied in the vertical direction comprise the waist belt assembly and rest against the hip of a user when the waist belt is secured. These members help to transfer load from the device to the user's hips and act to lessen the amount of load carried by the user's shoulder and back, the result being greater comfort and less fatigue.
