    Abstract: A method performed by an access and mobility management function (AMF) entity in a wireless communication system is provided. A protocol data unit (PDU) session is established with respect to a terminal via a first network slice. It is determined whether replacement of the first network slice is necessary. In case that replacement is necessary, information on a second network slice is provided to the terminal. A session management (SM) context update message including the information on the second network slice is provided to a session management function (SMF) entity corresponding to the PDU session. An SM context update response message including information on whether a new PDU session is allocable to the second network slice is received from the SMF entity. Based on the SM context update response message, replacement is attempted with the second network slice, replacement is performed with another network slice, or replacement is stopped.
