Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat-request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback information in an enhanced carrier aggregation system. A user equipment (UE) determines the number of HARQ-ACK feedback information bits that the UE needs to transmit in an uplink subframe, and determines the number of uplink control information (UCI) bits to be transmitted in the uplink subframe based on the number of the HARQ-ACK feedback information bits, the number of channel state information (CSI) bits, and the number of scheduling request (SR) bits that need to be transmitted in the uplink subframe, and transmitting the UCI according to the PUCCH format and the resource for transmission of PUCCH determined. With the present disclosure, UCI information may be transmitted using different formats in different PUCCH formats.

Abstract: The present application discloses a method and apparatus for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmission. An embodiment of the HARQ transmission method for the communication apparatus comprises: receiving configuration information related to a cross-carrier HARQ transmission from a base station, an initial transmission and a re-transmission of the HARQ transmission processable on different physical component carriers; receiving downlink control information from the base station, the downlink control information including control information for the cross-carrier HARQ transmission; and performing the cross-carrier HARQ transmission according to the configuration information and the downlink control information. By using the embodiments of the present invention, the HARQ transmission for the same data on a plurality of physical component carriers can be realized, and thus the effectiveness of the HARQ transmission is improved.

The method comprises receiving, from a base station, first random access channel (RACH) configuration for 4-step RA (4-step random access), second RACH configuration for the 2-step RA, and physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) configuration, the first RACH configuration including information on RA occasions for the 4-step RA; in case that an index indicating a subset of the RA occasions is included in the second RACH configuration, identifying at least one RA occasion for the 2-step RA based on the subset; identifying at least one PUSCH resource based on the PUSCH configuration and the at least one RA occasion; and transmitting, to the base station, a random access preamble in the at least one RA occasion and a PUSCH in the at least one PUSCH resource.
