摘要: Provided are a gear in which oil film formation between the tooth surfaces of gears rotating at high speed can be effected to a sufficient degree, in which generation of pitting, abrasion, and scoring is prevented, and which helps to prevent an increase in temperature and wear to achieve an improvement in durability, and a gear drive unit. A multitude of minute concave recesses are provided at random on a tooth surface, and an average area of the recesses is set to a range of 160 to 740 μm2. Accordingly, the tooth surface can obtain a high oil film forming capacity. Thus, even under a low-viscosity/thin-lubrication condition in which the thickness of the oil film is extremely small, it is possible to achieve a long service life.

Bearing internal gaps to allow the eccentric rotation of the first track ring and the second track ring are provided between the outer periphery flange part and an outer edge part of the retainer, and between the inner periphery flange part and an inner edge part of the retainer. In addition, at least one of the first and second claw parts is a projection part formed by a bending process. Furthermore, an edge part of the retainer opposed to the projection part has a first slope part formed at a corner part on the side opposed to the track surface, and a second slope part having a radial length relatively shorter than that of the first slope part, and formed at a corner part on the opposite side in a thickness direction.

摘要: To provide a caged roller assembly having an excellent assimilability, capable of providing a relatively large load bearing capacity, excellent in roller guiding function, strength and accuracy, the caged roller assembly includes a cage 1 including an outer member 3 and an inner member 4, and an array of rollers 2. The outer member 3 is made up of an annular body 3a of a diameter greater than the pitch circle diameter PAD of the array of the rollers and collars 3b each formed by bending a corresponding end of the annular body 3a so as to extend radially inwardly therefrom. The inner member 4 is of an annular shape having a diameter smaller than the pitch circle diameter PAD. Pockets 5 and 6 are defined in the outer and inner members 3 and 4 with the rollers 2 supported in part within the pockets 5 in the outer member 3 and in part within the pocket 6 in the inner member 4. The collars 3b may alternatively be provided in the inner member 4, rather than the outer member 3. One of the outer and inner members that is a collarless member has a slit 9 defined at one location circumferentially thereof to provide a generally split ring shape.

A roller support pin for rotatably supporting a roller 10 for driving engagement with a cam is mounted on one ends 1a of the opposite side walls 5, while the opposite end 1b of the connecting wall 6 defines an overlapped structure 13 formed by bending an end overlap piece 12, extending integrally from a side edge of the connecting wall 6, backwardly to overlap the connecting wall 6. This overlapped structure 13 in turn defines an adjustment element 16 having a mounting hole 15 defined therein for adjustably receiving a valve driving member 14. The rocker arm 1 may be designed to be an end pivot type, in which case the adjustment element 16 is provided with a pivot member.

A roller, brought into contact with a chain, comprises a support shaft supported by an opposing guide base provided along the running direction of the chain, and roller bearings each having a steel outer ring on the outer peripheral surface of the support shaft so as to be brought into contact with the chain. The roller is also configured to be assembled by inserting opposite ends of the support shaft into support recesses on facing wall surfaces of the guide base. The roller has a vibration damping material between the support shaft and the support recess of each of the plate members.
