摘要: A technique for transmitting on a multiple-input channel from a transmitting device to at least one receiving device is described. As to a method of the technique, a quality of a channel estimate of the multiple-input channel from the transmitting device to the at least one receiving device is determined. A transmission on the multiple-input channel from the transmitting device to the at least one receiving device is performed. The transmission is spatially precoded using at least one precoder determined out of a set of precoders. A size of the set of precoders is an increasing or non-decreasing function of the determined quality of the channel estimate.

摘要: A channel matrix representing characteristics of a multi-path channel between a transmitter device (210) equipped with multiple transmitter antennas (211, 212, 213, 214, 215) and a receiver device (220, 230, 240) equipped with multiple receiver antennas (221, 222, 231, 232, 241, 242) is determined. The channel matrix is organized in a first number of channel vectors each associated with a different one of the multiple receiver antennas (221, 222, 231, 232, 241, 242). The channel vectors are combined to a smaller second number of linear combinations of the channel vectors and a reduced channel matrix is composed from the linear combinations of the channel vectors. A precoding matrix is determined based on the reduced channel matrix, and multi-antenna transmission by the transmitter device is controlled based on the determined precoding matrix.

摘要: Systems and methods for coverage enhanced reciprocity-based precoding schemes are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a base station for determining precoding information includes: determining channel estimates for at least a channel between the wireless device and another device; determining a plurality of precoding hypotheses based on the channel estimates; determining a figure of merit for each of the plurality of precoding hypotheses; and determining the precoding information based on the figure of merit for each of the plurality of precoding hypotheses. In some embodiments, this precoding method enables the use of reciprocity-based precoding down to a lower Signal to Noise Ratio, SNR, than what existing state of the art reciprocity-based precoding can offer.

摘要: Systems and methods that enable and provide compensation for phase noise when performing Channel State Information (CSI) measurements are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a User Equipment 5 (UE) comprises determining that a reference signal associated with a CSI Reference Signal (CSI-RS) is present on two Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols onto which the CSI-RS is mapped. The reference signal is a reference signal that is present on OFDM symbols only when CSI-RS is present on the OFDM symbols. The method further comprises producing at 10 least one phase error estimate for the CSI-RS that is mapped onto at least one of the two OFDM symbols based on the reference signal, compensating for phase error on at least one of the two OFDM symbols based on the at least one phase error estimate, and generating and reporting CSI based on the CSI-RS after compensating for phase error.

摘要: Methods and transmitting and receiving radio equipments for transmitting and receiving a reference signal in a subframe where a portion of one or more multi-carrier modulation symbols that is included in the subframe is used for transmitting control information to receiving radio equipments. The transmitting radio equipment transmits the reference signal overlaid on at least a part of the portion of the one or more multi-carrier modulation symbols that is used for transmitting the control information in the subframe. The reference signal is generated based on at least one parameter. The receiving radio equipment then receives a transmission including the control information and the reference signal in the subframe, and may determine one or more properties of the reference signal based on the at least one parameter and process the reference signal using the determined one or more properties of the reference signal.

摘要: A first communication node (110) receives a stream of code blocks from a second communication node (120) over an acknowledged connection (131.). The first communication node processes the received code blocks in accordance with at least one transport format parameter, TFP, detects errors in received code blocks, and transmits an acknowledgment in respect of groups of code blocks indicating whether at least one error was detected in the group. A first subset of the code blocks of a group are transmitted (e.g., modulated and demodulated) in accordance with a first TFP value, and a remainder of the code blocks are transmitted in accordance with a second TFP value. Because the first and second TFP values are independent, it is possible either to shorten the necessary processing time in the first communication node or, in connection with a predictive acknowledgment mechanism, to make the receiving-side processing of code blocks that do not contribute to the value of the transmitted acknowledgment more robust.
