摘要: According to some embodiments, a wireless device receives (1020) a discovery burst from a network node (115). The same discovery burst includes multiple signals within at least one subframe, each of the multiple signals having one or more associated measurement functions. At least one of the multiple signals is received with multiple repetitions within the same discovery burst and two or more repetitions of the same type of signal can be combined by the wireless device. The wireless device performs (1024) at least one radio measurement based at least in part on a particular one of the signals of the discovery burst. The performed at least one radio measurement corresponds to a measurement function associated with the particular signal of the discovery burst.

摘要: Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a network node 110 of a wireless communication network 100 for communicating at an unlicensed frequency spectrum with a wireless device 121 having a device identity. The network node 110 sends an access grant to the wireless device according to the device identity, granting the wireless device access to an uplink communication channel of the unlicensed frequency spectrum. The network node also receives data from the wireless device 121, on the granted uplink communication channel, the data comprising information on the identity of the wireless device 121, thus enabling the network node 110 to detect whether the wireless device that was granted access on the uplink communication channel is the same wireless device as the wireless device from which the data comprising the information on the uplink communication channel was subsequently received. Embodiments of the network node 110 are also described. Embodiments herein also relate to a wireless device 121 for communicating with a network node 110 of the wireless communication network 100 at an unlicensed frequency spectrum and a method therein.

In particular, Media Access Control (MAC) protocol aspects are disclosed relating to Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) cells and, more generally, to cells of a cellular communications network operating in an unlicensed frequency spectrum. According to one aspect, a method of operation of a wireless device comprises transmitting an Uplink (UL) transmission on a cell for a corresponding UL Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process, the cell operating in an unlicensed frequency spectrum, and setting a locally maintained status for the UL HARQ process to Acknowledgement (ACK) based on an assumption that the UL transmission was successful.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed herein that relate to multiple candidate starting points for a transmit burst in unlicensed spectrum. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a radio access node for performing a transmit burst in an unlicensed spectrum comprises transmitting a transmit burst in an unlicensed spectrum, wherein the transmit burst spans multiple subframes/slots and the transmitting of the transmit burst starts at one of a plurality of candidate starting points defined in at least a first subframe/slot of the transmit burst that occurs after successful completion of a Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) procedure for the transmit burst. In this manner, a radio access node (e.g., an enhanced or evolved Node B (eNB) in Long Term Evolution (LTE)) has flexibility to transmit a downlink transmit burst starting at different starting positions based on LBT outcome.

摘要: According to some embodiments, a method in a network node of a wireless network for aligning discovery reference signal (DRS) occurrences comprises determining a first DRS occurrence configuration that comprises a schedule for transmission of a first series of DRS occurrences. The method further comprises determining a first discovery measurement timing configuration (DMTC) that comprises a schedule for receiving DRS occurrences that is aligned with a first subset of DRS occurrences of the first series of DRS occurrences. The method further comprises determining a second DMTC that comprises a schedule for receiving DRS occurrences that is aligned with a second subset of DRS occurrences of the first series of DRS occurrences, wherein the second subset of DRS occurrences is different than the first subset of DRS occurrences. The method further comprises communicating first DMTC to a first wireless device and the second DMTC in a second wireless device.

摘要: Systems and methods relating to a Timing Advance (TA) in a Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) cell are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a radio access node in a cellular communications network comprises transmitting an indication of a TA for uplink LBT for a LBT cell to be used by a wireless device. In this manner, timing of the uplink LBT procedure can be controlled such that at least a portion of the LBT duration occurs during a time period in which downlink transmission on the LBT cell does not interfere with the LBT procedure.
