摘要： An information editing apparatus is provided which can prevent a thumbnail image, which shows the contents of recorded information recorded on an information recording medium, from being accidentally changed by a misoperation of the user.The information editing apparatus includes a deciding device 8 for deciding whether a thumbnail image can be changed or not based on change permission information, which indicates whether a change can be made on the thumbnail image showing the contents of recorded information recorded on a recording medium 1. When the deciding device 8 decides that a change is not permitted, a change of the thumbnail image is prohibited.

摘要： When a partial TS as a part of TS is recorded in a hard disc HD, a microcomputer section 14 structures the partial TS essentially including only a partial TS descriptor and a network identification descriptor as SIT in descriptors to be included as SIT for the partial TS, the partial TS is recorded in the hard disc HD, and the partial TS descriptor and the network identification descriptor are recorded in another areas in the hard disc HD. At the time of output, while the partial TS is being replenished with the descriptors recorded in the other areas, SIT is structured so as to include descriptors having sufficient contents for the partial TS.

摘要： An information editing apparatus is provided which enables the user to clearly recognize the contents of recorded information which includes image information and is recorded on a recording medium. The information editing apparatus includes a first selecting device 14 for selecting a thumbnail image from images corresponding to the image information, the thumbnail image showing the contents of the recorded information recorded on a recording medium 1, a second selecting device 14 for selecting the thumbnail image from images other than the images corresponding to the image information in the recorded information, and a recording device 8 for recording first position information and second position information on the recording medium 1. The first position information indicates on the recording medium 1 the recording position of image information corresponding to the image selected by the first selecting device 14. The restart is possible for all of information contents recorded on a recording medium and without the need of troublesome operations. 摘要： A controller in a hard disk serving as a data storage device stores a license including a content key for decrypting encrypted content data E and others in a secure data storage portion. The license is managed in the secure data storage portion in accordance with a LBA, and the LBA for storing the license, which is being processed for transmission, is stored as a log in a log memory of the secure data storage portion. When a failure occurs during the transmission processing, the license, which was being processed for transmission, is specified based on the LBA stored in the log memory.

摘要： A navigation system has a navigation apparatus mounted on a vehicle, and a computer apparatus which is connected with the navigation apparatus to enable to communicates with the navigation apparatus. When the navigation apparatus receives route search information including recommended-route information from the computer apparatus, the navigation apparatus transmits a notice of completion of reception to the computer apparatus, generates traveling route information of the vehicle which moves on the basis of the route search information, and transmits guidance result information to the computer apparatus. The computer apparatus transmits recommended-route information which is generated on the basis of a predetermined algorithm, to the navigation apparatus, receives from the navigation apparatus the reception completion notice and the guidance result information including the traveling route information of the vehicle, and modifies the algorithm on the basis of the recommended-route information and the traveling route information.
