Abstract:
In an elevator according to the present invention, a driving apparatus 42, a traction sheave 41, and a counterweight-side rope hitching portion 46 are arranged above one rail 21L of the right and left cage-side guide rails, while a cage-side rope hitching portion 44 and a speed governor 47 are arranged above the other rail 21R of the right and left cage-side guide rails. Since a control panel 48 is arranged along a rear inner wall surface 34 of the machine room, a large operation space can be secured in a center part of the floor 31 of the machine room 30. Further, since a machine beam 53 can be extended at full length in the back and forth direction in the machine room 30, no additional building-side receiving beam is needed.
Abstract:
An elevator system having no machineroom is provided in which a height of a pit in a bottom of an elevator shaft can be reduced, a maintenance operation can be carried out at one on an upper part of the cage, and cage-side sheaves and cage-side guide rails can be disposed symmetrically with respect to the center of gravity of the cage. The elevator system having no machineroom includes a pair of right and left cage-side sheaves 16L and 16R disposed above a cage 10, and a traction sheave 17 disposed behind a cage-side guide rail 11L. The pair of right and left cage-side sheaves 16L and 16R are disposed such that each rotational angle of the pair of right and left cage-side sheaves 16L and 16R is extended parallel to a rotational axis of the traction sheave, or extended at a direction angle close to that of the rotational axis of the traction sheave.

A submount that enables the reliable mounting of a semiconductor light-emitting device on it, and a semiconductor unit incorporating the submount. A submount 3 comprises (a) a substrate 4; and (b) a solder layer 8 formed on the top surface 4f of the substrate 4. The solder layer 8 before melting has a surface roughness, Ra, of at most 0.18 μm. It is more desirable that the solder layer 8 before melting have a surface roughness, Ra, of at most 0.15 μm, yet more desirably at most 0.10 μm. A semiconductor unit 1 comprises the submount 3 and a laser diode 2 mounted on the solder layer 8 of the submount 3.

A method of writing servo signals on magnetic tape which comprises making a single laser beam (15) pass through a diffraction element (14) to split it into a plurality of beams (16) traveling in prescribed directions and then making the plurality of beams (16) pass through an optical convergence system (21) to form converged beam spots on a site of a magnetic tape (1) which is capable of forming servo tracks, the magnetic tape (1) being running at a prescribed speed, to cause the site to change physically or chemically thereby forming a plurality of servo tracks (S) in the longitudinal direction of the tape simultaneously.
Abstract:
There is provided a spread illuminating apparatus to improve a coupling efficiency between a light conductive member and a spot-like light source. A claw (23) of an upper frame (21) is fitted to a recess (20) of an LED (6), and generates a spring force in a direction of a light conductive member (4) (a spring force in a longitudinal direction of the light conductive member (4)) in a fitted condition to press the LED (6) toward the light conductive member (4). Thus, the light conductive member (4) and the LED are excellently and tightly attached to each other, and surely positioned, and the coupling efficiency of the light conductive member (4) with the LED is excellent. Since the claw (23) of the upper frame 21 is fitted to the recess (20) in the LED (6), deviation of the LED (6) in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the light conductive member (4) is suppressed, and the light conductive member (4) and the LED (6) can be surely positioned accordingly, and the coupling efficiency of the light conductive member (4) with the LED (6) can be further improved.
Abstract:
A method for producing a fuse element having a fusible portion and any other portion which are made of different kinds of metal. The method comprises the steps of boring through-hole in a substrate made of first metal, forming an element plate by fusion-bonding a second metal to the through-hole and integrally stamping a pair of substrate portion made of the first metal and a low-melting-point portion made of the second metal. The second metal is made of a metal whose melting point is lower than that of the first metal. Further, the pair of substrate portion is connected together by the low-melting-point portion so that the fuse element is formed.
Abstract:
A wafer holder for a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus that has a high heat conductivity and includes a conductive layer such as heater circuit pattern which can be formed with a high precision pattern, a method of manufacturing the wafer holder, and a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus having therein the wafer holder are provided. On a surface of a sintered aluminum nitride piece, paste containing metal particles is applied and fired to form a heater circuit pattern as a conductive layer. Between the surface of the sintered aluminum nitride piece having the heater circuit pattern formed thereon and another sintered aluminum nitride piece, a glass layer is provided as a joint layer to be heated for joining the sintered aluminum nitride pieces together.
Abstract:
A fan speed controller of an automotive vehicle air conditioning device is usually placed in an air flow duct to be effectively cooled. Thus, compact construction of the speed controller is needed to obtain a larger air flow in the air flow duct. For this purpose, various compact resistor units for the speed controller have been proposed. However, some of them are poor in durability against shocks. In view of this, a compact resistor unit for a speed controller includes a resistor block that has a flat resistor, a flat insulating plate and a flat radiation plate which are respectively positioned against one another. The compact resistor unit further includes a holder block of molded plastic on which the resistor block is mounted. The compact resistor unit also includes a plurality of metal terminals partially embedded in the holder block, where the terminals are connected to particular portions of the flat resistor. The compact resistor still further includes metal connecting lugs that are partially embedded in the holder block, and rivets for securing the resistor block to the connecting lugs.
