摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a liquid crystal display panel having a high contrast ratio in a front direction.A liquid crystal panel according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a liquid crystal cell; a first polarizing plate placed on one side of the liquid crystal cell; a second polarizing plate placed on the other side of the liquid crystal cell; and a retardation layer placed between the liquid crystal cell and the second polarizing plate. A refractive index ellipsoid of the retardation layer exhibits a relationship of n≧ny>nz; and a light transmittance (T2) of the second polarizing plate is larger than a light transmittance (T1) of the first polarizing plate. Such a liquid crystal panel has a remarkably higher contrast ratio in a front direction than that of a conventional liquid crystal panel (for example, a liquid crystal panel in which the light transmittances of two polarizing plates placed on both sides of a liquid crystal cell are the same), and shows excellent display properties.

摘要: A method of fabricating a semiconductor device according to one embodiment includes: laying out a first region, a second region, a third region and a fourth region on a semiconductor substrate by forming an element isolation region in the semiconductor substrate; forming a first insulating film on the first region and the second region; forming a first semiconductor film on the first insulating film; forming a second insulating film and an aluminum oxide film thereon on the fourth region after forming of the first semiconductor film; forming a third insulating film and a lanthanum oxide film thereon on the third region after forming of the first semiconductor film; forming a high dielectric constant film on the aluminum oxide film and the lanthanum oxide film; forming a metal film on the high dielectric constant film; forming a second semiconductor film on the first semiconductor film and the metal film; and patterning the first insulating film, the first semiconductor film, the second insulating film, the aluminum oxide film, the third insulating film, the lanthanum oxide film, the high dielectric constant film, the metal film and the second semiconductor film.

摘要: A rotary fluid machinery includes a fixed member, a drive shaft driven and rotated about a rotation axis, a movable member, a movable member support part and a reverse moment generating mechanism. The movable member is rotatably mounted at the drive shaft with its center being eccentrically disposed relative to the rotation axis, with the movable member and the fixed member forming a fluid chamber. Revolution of the movable member changes the volume of the fluid chamber. The movable member is configured to swing in association with its revolution. The reverse moment generating mechanism generates a moment in a reverse direction about the rotation axis relative to a moment about the rotation axis caused by the revolving movement of the movable member.

摘要: In the image-forming device, the second driving force is transmitted from each input coupling to the corresponding output coupling to rotate the corresponding photosensitive drum when each input coupling is positioned at a predetermined position for the corresponding output coupling. The first detecting unit and the second detecting units detect a position of each input coupling and a position of each output coupling respectively before the first driving unit begins to provide the first driving force and the second driving unit begins to provide the first driving force. The calculating unit calculates, based on the position of each input coupling and the position of each output coupling, a first start timing when a first photosensitive drum starts to rotate and a second start timing when a second photosensitive drum starts to rotate. The controlling unit controls the first driving unit to begin to provide the first driving force after the first start timing and before the second start timing.

摘要: A guide body for guiding the back surface of toner-image-bearing paper is formed from an insulating material and is disposed so as to face a paper transport path. A paper-transport-path-facing portion of the guide body, which faces the paper transport path, has guide ribs projecting upward toward the paper. A covering metal sheet is configured such that a covering portion thereof partially covers a guide surface of the paper-transport-path-facing portion which faces the paper transport path. The covering metal sheet has slits formed therein and corresponding to the guide ribs. The slits allow the guide surface to be partially exposed therethrough.

Each of process cartridges comprises: a photosensitive element; an electrification unit including a discharging unit and an electrification frame which contains the discharging unit and which has a first opening formed between the photosensitive element and the discharging unit and a second opening formed at a position opposite the first opening across the discharging unit; and a process frame including an exposure opening opposing the photosensitive element, wherein the plurality of process cartridges are arranged such that one process cartridge of a pair of adjacent process cartridges opposes the second opening and the exposure aperture of the electrification unit of the other process cartridge; a regulation member configured to regulate airflow is provided between the pair of process cartridges; and the regulation member has elasticity and is disposed in a position between the second opening and the exposure aperture of the electrification unit.

摘要: An image forming device includes a transfer unit having a photosensitive drum and a transfer roller, a fixing unit including a press roller and a heating roller, and a guide member on a non-image-forming surface side of the recording medium between the transfer and fixing units. At a transfer nip where the transfer roller contacts the drum, a developer image is transferred onto the recording medium. At a fixing nip where the press roller impinges upon the heating roller, the developer image is fixed onto the recording medium. The guide member guides the recording medium into the fixing unit and includes a grounded conductive member and ribs, which control contact of the recording medium with the conductive member by protruding towards the non-image-forming surface of the recording medium. The conductive member and the ribs are formed parallel with a line that connects the transfer nip and the fixing nip.
