    摘要： Two line sensors for reading an original are arranged parallel to each other and are moved in a subscanning direction to read an original image. The leading line sensor reads one line on the original, and an output from the leading line sensor is held in analog memories. One line on the original is then read by the trailing line sensor, and an output from the trailing line sensor is added to the output, from the leading line sensor, held in the analog memories, thereby obtaining an effect equivalent to doubled charge storage time in reading one line on the original. A desired resolution can be selected in accordance with the sizes of two sensor elements, the layout of the sensors, and the output timings of the analog memories.

    摘要： There is disclosed a control circuit for switching between a facsimile unit and an automatic answering telephone unit. A current detecting circuit with satisfactory linearity between the mutually insulated input and output sides is used for detecting a DC current on a communication line, indicating a communication state of the telephone unit and also for detecting an AC signal, representing a speech communication signal and used for recording an incoming message in the automatic answering telephone unit. This structure allows to insulate the recording circuit and the facsimile circuit from the communication line without a transformer, thereby reducing cost and dimension of the apparatus.

    摘要： In an image processing apparatus, the image data to be recorded/output by an image recording means is specified by information stated on a mark sheet that is read from an image reading means. The image data to be printed/output is analyzed, the number of people in the photographic object in the image data is detected, and a thumbnail image of the image is printed together with a mark sheet having mark areas in which the number of prints of the image can be specified in correspondence to the number of people in the photographic object obtained by detecting the number of faces from the image data or by another method. The mark sheet is read by an image reading means, and an image of the number of prints corresponding to the number of people in the photographic object is printed.

The flickering duty ratio of the light source obtained when the white reference plate is read is set for each color so as to maximize the output value from an A/D converter within its predetermined conversion range.
