    摘要: A high strength thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) composition is provided. The TPV includes a dispersed rubber component, a polyolefinic thermoplastic resin component, a propylene copolymer and mineral filler present in the amount of 20 wt % to 70 wt % based on total of the thermoplastic vulcanizate composition. Preferably, the propylene copolymer has 60 wt % or more units derived from propylene; includes isotactically arranged propylene derived sequences; and has a heat of fusion less than 45 J/g. Preferably, the mineral filler is halogen free and flame retardant. The high strength TPV can be useful for making a variety of articles for electrical, construction, automotive, and consumer applications, including fuel cell.

    摘要: An aspect of the description is directed to hydrolysable silane graft propylene-α-olefin copolymers useful for moisture curable sealants, the copolymers comprising a propylene-α-olefin copolymer component comprising propylene-derived units and from 5 to 35 wt %, by weight of the propylene-α-olefin copolymer, of ethylene-derived units or a C4 to C10 α-olefin-derived unit, and having, in one embodiment, the following features: a density of from 0.850 to 0.920 g/cm3; a MWD of from 1.5 to 20; an Hf of less than or equal to 75 J/g; a Tm of from 25 to 105° C.; and a triad tacticity by 13C NMR of 75% or greater; and a hydrolysable silane component. The graft copolymer can be combined with oil and/or a thermoplastic to form a graft copolymer composition capable of being cross-linked by exposure to moisture.

The method of making AB comprise the steps of: a) melting a copolymer (A) comprising a larger amount of methylmethacrylate units and a smaller amount of functional vinyl or (meth)acrylate units wherein functional moiety is selected in the group consisting of (a hydroxyl, a carboxylic, a glycidyl or an amine functional group); together with maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene (B) allowing condensation reaction to occur between the functions under “A” and the anhydride under “B”; b) the condensation copolymer obtained under a) is further melt together with the two polymers C and D to be homogenized, or melt processed as an interlayer between the two molten polymers.
