摘要: An air/fuel ratio monitoring system in an IC engine, using an oxygen sensor of the concentration cell type which has an inner electrode layer, a microscopically porous layer of oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte, and an outer electrode layer to be exposed to the exhaust gas and exhibits a sharp change in the level of output voltage in response to a change in the air/fuel ratio in the engine across the stoichiometric ratio. To ensure accurate monitoring of the air/fuel ratio even though an average level of the sensor output changes for various reasons such as aging of the sensor, the monitoring system produces a variable reference voltage. The output of the oxygen sensor is compared with this reference voltage by first adding or subtracting a fixed voltage to the output voltage of the sensor, depending on the result of comparison between the sensor output. The resultant reference voltage and voltage is then smoothed in an RC circuit. To prevent misjudgement of the air/fuel ratio by unintentional intersection of the sensor output voltage attenuating after responding to a change in the air/fuel ratio across the stoichiometric ratio and the reference voltage, the system includes a control means for varying the time constant at the voltage-smoothing operation according to the manner of a change in the sensor output voltage.

摘要: A liquid material arrangement method is a method for arranging a liquid material in a plurality of prescribed regions on a substrate by discharging the liquid material as a droplet from a nozzle. The liquid material arrangement method includes: performing a discharge information acquiring step for acquiring discharge information of the nozzle including a landing position and a discharge quantity of the droplet discharged from the nozzle by a nozzle check; performing a second pattern generating step for generating a second dot pattern, which is an arrangement pattern for arranging a prescribed number of droplets, by selecting at least one non-discharge dot from a first dot pattern, which is an arrangement pattern for arranging more droplets than the prescribed number of droplets, based on the discharge information; and performing a liquid material arranging step for arranging the liquid material in the prescribed regions based on the second dot pattern.

摘要: An ink-jet recording head has a plate-shaped member including a first layer with a partition wall formed by a first etching process and defining a pressure chamber, an ink inlet passage and a common ink storage chamber, a second layer with a land formed by a second etching process so as to correspond to the pressure chamber, and an intermediate layer sandwiched between the first and the second layers. The recording head also has a pressure producing device disposed with its extremity in contact with the land, and a nozzle plate with a nozzle hole bonded to the front surface of the plate-shaped member. An ink particle is jetted through the nozzle hole when the pressure in the pressure chamber is changed by the pressure producing device.

摘要: In an ink jet apparatus for manufacturing a color filter 1, ink jet heads 22 having a plurality of nozzle 27 are disposed in a linear manner. Filter element member is ejected to a motherboard 12 from a plurality of nozzles 27 four times so as to form the filter element 3 in a predetermined thickness. By doing this, it is possible to prevent difference in the thickness in a plurality of the filter elements 3 and to equalize light transparency in planar manner. Thus, in an ejecting apparatus, a color filter can be formed in more common way at low cost and more efficiently. Also, it is possible to provide an ejecting apparatus which can equalize factors such as electrooptical characteristics of the electrooptical members, color displaying characteristics by the liquid crystal apparatuses, and illuminating characteristics by an EL surface.

摘要: A method for placing a liquid material includes a) discharging the liquid material from a plurality of nozzles into a single region of a substrate during a scan of the substrate performed by a head having a nozzle group including the plurality of nozzles using a first electric pulse, and b) discharging the liquid material into the single region from the plurality of nozzles during the scan using a second electric pulse. The first and second electric pulses are supplied to a pressure controller to control pressure of a liquid chamber communicated with the plurality of nozzles so as to cause the plurality of nozzles to discharge the liquid material. The first and second discharge steps are performed by using the same plurality of nozzles during the same scan.

摘要: In order to simplify a step of forming a conductive layer for external connection and improve the reliability thereof, at least either internal individual electrodes or internal common electrodes, which comprise of a piezoelectric vibrator, are connected with each other at through holes situated spaced away from an end face of the piezoelectric vibrator and connected to either a segment electrode of a common electrode, which are formed on one surface in a longitudinal direction of the piezoelectric vibrator. According, it is not necessary to form a conductive layer on the end face or a corner portion where such a layer is hardly formed. Furthermore, even if such portions are slightly broken, the conductivity can be maintained.
