摘要: Systems and methods for non-invasive fat reduction can include targeting a region of interest below a surface of skin, which contains fat and delivering ultrasound energy to the region of interest. The ultrasound energy generates a thermal lesion with said ultrasound energy on a fat cell. The lesion can create an opening in the surface of the fat cell, which allows the draining of a fluid out of the fat cell and through the opening. In addition, by applying ultrasound energy to fat cells to increase the temperature to between 43 degrees and 49 degrees, cell apoptosis can be realized, thereby resulting in reduction of fat.

摘要: An intra oral scanner (IOS) including a probe is disclosed. Optionally, the probe is calibrated to measure locations at a higher accuracy than the IOS. For example, the probe may be used to locate points in a 3D map at high precision and/or the points used to increase the precision of location of other points and/or surfaces in the map. In some embodiments, the probe includes a sensor. Optionally, the probe may be used to measure locations that are hard to view with the IOS. For example, the IOS probe combination may be used to produce 3D maps of a recess in a tooth and/or gums and/or a periodontal pocket and/or to traduce a 3D map or periodontal disease. In some embodiments the probe may be used to measure physical properties, for example, the IOS probe combination may be used to produce a 3D image of hardness of mucosa.

摘要: An object detecting device includes a detector and a determination unit. The detector detects presence or absence of an object based on whether a receiving unit that converts a mechanical vibration into an electric signal receives a reflected ultrasonic wave transmitted intermittently from a transmitting unit. The determination unit determines that the transmitting unit is normal when the electric signal is not detected in a determination section set within a predetermined time from a starting time point of the transmission of the ultrasonic wave. The determination unit determines that the transmitting unit is abnormal when a correlation value of waveforms of a plurality of electric signals detected in the plurality of determination sections is greater than or equal to a specified value. The determination unit determines that the transmitting unit is normal when the correlation value is less than the specified value.

摘要: The present disclosure is generally directed to an ultrasonic transducer interface system for use within portable 2-D ultrasonic imagers and includes an on-chip adaptive beamformer and Charge-Redistribution TX (CR-TX) to provide a drive strength of up to 500 pF/channel at 5 MHz (or 10 nF at 250 kHz) while reducing the TX drive power by at least 30% compared to other ultrasonic transducer TX drivers. The ultrasonic transducer interface system can be implemented in a single chip via, for example, a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process.
