Abstract: Systems and methods described herein enable differentiated policy enforcement for dual connectivity split bearer scenarios. A wireless station receives, from a core network associated with the wireless station, downlink packets directed to an end device that is using a dual-connectivity split bearer. The wireless station directs delivery of the downlink packets over different radio access networks (RANs) of the dual-connectivity split bearer. The wireless station logs a radio access technology (RAT)-type used to deliver each of the downlink packets and sends, based on the logging, a downlink RAT-type feedback report to a network device in the core network. The wireless station receives uplink packets from the end device using the dual-connectivity split bearer, marks each of the uplink packets with a RAT-type indicator, and forwards the marked packets to the network device in the core network.

Abstract: A device may receive information associated with establishing a gateway connection. The gateway connection may be an ad hoc connection to a user device that permits the user device to transfer network traffic to/from a base station via another user device and without the user device directly connecting to the base station via a radio access network. The information being associated with determining that a gateway establishment condition is satisfied. The device may cause the gateway connection to be established based on the information associated with establishing the gateway connection. The device may cause the user device to utilize the gateway connection to transfer network traffic to/from the base station.

Abstract: Techniques described herein may allow for the selective enabling and/or disabling of shared access points (“SAPs”). The selective enabling and/or disabling may occur based on the analysis of key performance indicators (“KPIs”) associated with the SAPs. The selective enabling and/or disabling may cause the SAPs to cease (or continue) broadcasting their availability for User Equipment (“UEs”) of a particular wireless provider, decline (or accept) bearer requests for UEs of the particular wireless provider, or terminate existing connections with UEs of the particular wireless provider. The selective enabling and/or disabling may be performed for certain applications or Quality of Service (“QoS”) levels. The selective enabling and/or disabling may be performed proactively (e.g., without necessarily determining that the performance for a given SAP has not met a threshold performance), based on historical trends.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium provide to store packet data network (PDN) connection data pertaining to a user equipment connected to a network; store locale-to-packet data network gateway (PGW) data, wherein the locale-to-PGW data includes mappings between locales and PGWs to be used when the user equipment is located in the locales; receive a locale update pertaining to the user equipment; query the locale-to-PGW data in response to the locale update; determine, based on a result of the query, whether the user equipment is to be re-anchored to a different PGW than a PGW to which the user equipment is currently anchored; invoke a re-anchoring procedure, in response to a determination that the user equipment is to be re-anchored to the different PGW; and omit to invoke the re-anchoring procedure, in response to a determination that the user equipment is not to be re-anchored.

The user device may connect with the cellular network via the wireless sharing device. The request may include identification information. The identification information may include a user device identifier and a wireless sharing device identifier. The quality-of-service based service may be provided based on an identified quality-of-service level. The device may establish a bearer based on the request. The bearer may be used by one or more network devices to provide the quality-of-based service, with the quality-of-service level and via the wireless sharing device, to the user device.

Abstract: A server device may identify an ongoing call associated with a received handover call. The handover call may have been placed via a first network, and the ongoing call may be associated with a second network. The server device may detect that the user device has performed a handover of the ongoing call from the second network to the first network; and may process the ongoing call via the first network based on the detecting. A user device may establish a first call via a first network; detect a handover condition associated with the first network; place, based on detecting the handover condition, a second call via a second network, the second call being placed while the first call is in progress; receive an instruction to perform a handover; and send and receive, based on receiving the instruction to perform the handover, call traffic via the second call.

Abstract: A device may receive information that identifies a failover configuration associated with a user device. The failover configuration may identify a backup user device. The device may receive information indicating that a failover condition, identified in the failover configuration, has been satisfied. The device may identify the backup user device based on receiving the information indicating that the failover condition has been satisfied. The device may contact the backup user device based on identifying the backup user device. The device may determine that a service request, associated with a service and intended for the user device, is to be forwarded to the backup user device based on contacting the backup user device. The service may be identified by the failover configuration. The device may forward the service request to the backup user device to permit the backup user device to obtain the service rather than the user device.
