    摘要: Methods for producing a partially hydrated bean paste are disclosed. The methods include inputting a quantity of uncooked whole beans or split beans into an extruder comprising an inlet, one or more temperature zones in series downstream of the inlet, and a die downstream of the one or more temperature zones; rotating a screw assembly of the extruder to extrude the beans and force the beans through the one or more temperature zones, wherein a quantity of steam and a quantity of water is added to the beans as the beans are forced through each temperature zone; and forcing the beans exiting the final temperature zone of said one or more temperature zones in series through the die to produce a bean paste. The partially hydrated bean paste produced by the methods of the disclosure comprises a water content of at least about 45% by weight. The partially hydrated bean paste can be further processed into partially hydrated bean products, such as refried beans.

    摘要: A power connector assembly is provided that has high power density capability and controllable impedance. One embodiment has a multi-layer stack of printed circuit boards that each contain one or more metal layers that function selectively as power and return planes. The metal layers are electrically in contact with contact arrays of connectors, such as through half vias or slot vias for example, which mate with corresponding contact arrays of connectors associated with the circuits being connected together. Discrete components may be used to further control impedance of the connector. Different connector technologies may be used for connecting contacts to the metal layers.

    摘要: A calibration engine, which seeks to eliminate disconnects between both manual and automated calibration procedures. It abstracts the process of procedure development such that procedure writers can produce automated procedures without being computer programmers. By organizing calibration procedure elements in a relational database format, a relational automated calibration engine (RACE) provides the mechanism whereby a single calibration procedure can be executed in either a manual, automated, or semi-automated fashion. It supports pre-engineered standard substitution, is cross platform, and seeks to preserve the investment of existing calibration procedures. In order to work in multiple deployed environments, RACE has been authored to ensure maximum flexibility with regard to required hardware and software. The engine can operate both with and without an installed operating system and relational database server. Well-defined interfaces have been designed to ensure interoperability with other laboratory software elements such as scheduling, reporting, and measurement uncertainty.

    摘要: The invention provides EMI cable shield termination apparatus. The apparatus includes (a) a cable exit panel coupled to a first electronic system and (b) one or more clamps coupled to the exit panel. The exit panel serves as an interface for one or more cables coupled to the first electronic system; the clamps provide mechanical coupling, and EMI shielding, for the cables to that interface. The exit panel couples to electrical ground such as through connection to the chassis of the first electronic system. The clamps also couple to ground through connection with the exit panel. Preferably, one end of the cables attaches to the clamps, at the interface formed by the exit panel, and the other end of the cables attach to respective ferrules coupled to a second electronics system. Beneficially, the apparatus reduces EMI effects generated from the first electronic system and coupled into the second electronic system. In preferred aspects of the invention, the first and second electronic systems are computers; and each of the clamps forms at least one aperture (“clamp aperture”) to affix to a cable coupled to the first electronic system. The invention facilitates configurable cable shield terminations to meet mechanical requirements of a given installation; that is, a single cable construction permits multiple optional clamp attachment locations to accommodate different separations of the attached equipment.
