摘要： In an extended nip proess including a stationary support member, a hydraulically actuatable press shoe supported on and extending along the support member and a rotatable counter-roll opposed to and extending along the direction of the press shoe, there is a flexible, tubular press jacket which rotates around the support member and which is sealed so as to be inflatable by air. Before rotation of the counter-roll starts, the press jacket is air inflated and expands to partially wrap around the counte-roll. After rotation of the counter-roll and the press jacket begins, and only after a set minimum velocity has been exceeded, then the press shoe is fluid pressurized against the press jacket. At the time, the air pressure in the press jacket is reduced. Various control devices control the feed of pressure liquid to the press shoe and the feed of air to the press jacket until and then after a minimum speed level is exceeded.

摘要： A stone roll for paper machines having a rotatable tubular roll shell of stone. A bearing flange is disposed at either end of the stone roll. A plurality of paraxially arranged stressing rods are disposed in bores in the roll and extend between the bearing flanges. A stationary beam extends through the bore of the roll. A layer of metal is disposed at or defined on the inner surface of the tubular roll shell. Seals extend from the sides of the beam into contact with the metal layer. A hydraulic pressure chamber is defined between the stationary beam and the inner surface of the metal layer and around the beam between the seals for enabling force exerted on the exterior of the roll to be transmitted to the stationary beam.

摘要： In a belt pressing unit, which preferably serves as wet press of a paper machine, an elastic tubular press belt travels around a supporting body and, together with a back roll, forms an extended press zone. Beyond the press zone along the path of the press belt, liquid is fed to the inner side of the press belt in order to cool the press belt. This liquid is permitted to travel, together with the press belt, around the supporting body. Most of the liquid is then removed from the press belt, preferably at a position in front of the press zone. The liquid may then be cooled and fed back to the press belt. In addition, liquid may also be fed to the inner side of the press belt where the press belt enters the press zone, for cooling and lubricating a pressing surface of a press shoe which presses the press belt toward the back roll. Furthermore, control circuits may be provided, one for sensing the temperature of the liquid removed from the press belt and controlling the cooling of the press belt, and another for sensing the pressing surface temperature and controlling its cooling.

A frame includes an upper part and a lower part, the lower part having a pair of vertical arms at each end, and the upper part being connected to the upper end of the arms. Bearing brackets are disposed at each end of the frame, between the vertical arms at that end. At least two horizontal rollers are accommodated in the bearing brackets, substantially in a single vertical pressing plane. The bearing brackets are held in place by the vertical arms and the upper part of the frame. Preferably, the upper part of the frame itself serves as the bearing bracket for the upper roller, and the bearing brackets may be secured to at least one of the vertical arms at each end of the frame.

摘要： A paper-making machine has a plurality of drying cylinders for removing moisture from a wet web. The drying cylinders are arranged so that some of them are located in an upper plane and are hollow and have their interior connected to a source of suction, and others are located in a lower plane and are heated to form contact heaters. An endless traveling carrier band is trained about these cylinders in such a manner that its one surface which carries the wet web faces away from the hollow cylinders as it travels about them and faces towards the heated cylinders as it travels about the latter.

摘要： The invention relates to a roll press including at least three rolls forming several press nips for the treatment of a web of material. One press roll comprises a very flexible roll shell which is rotatable around a fixed support and is mounted on the support by at least one support element which has a concave support surface for defining a wide press nip with a cylindrical backing roll. The backing roll forms an additional press nip with at least one not sag-controlled roll. To obtain as uniform as possible a press nip between the backing roll and at least one additional roll which is without sag control, the circumference of the roll shell of the backing roll decreases axially towards its ends, i.e., that roll may be crowned. In addition, the backing roll may have its own roll shell support elements which are either in the press plane or are inclined slightly out of the press plane and/or the hydraulic pressure fluid supplied to the press roll and to the backing roll is adapted to supply a greater pressing force by the press roll. Optionally, a fourth press roll may form a nip with the additional roll. A felt passes through each nip.
