    摘要： A digital broadcasting system and a method for transmitting and receiving digital broadcast signal are disclosed. The method of transmitting digital broadcast signal includes convolutional encoding mobile data to build SCCC blocks, generating signaling data, forming a first data group and a second data group which includes mobile service data and the signaling data, interleaving data including the mobile service data in the first and second data groups and outputting a interleaved first data group and an interleaved second data group, wherein at least one of the SCCC blocks include an extension data block from the interleaved first data group and a data block from the interleaved second data group, transmitting the digital broadcasting signal including the first data group and the second data group.

The method of transmitting digital broadcasting signal in a transmitter includes forming a data group including mobile data, packet formatting mobile data packets including data in the data group, wherein the mobile data packets include a specific number of mobile data packets and a scalable number of mobile data packets, the scalable number being scalable up to 38, wherein the data group includes a plurality of regions and fifth region of the data group includes the scalable number of mobile data packets, by-passing data randomizing and RS encoding on data in the mobile data packets when the scalable number is 38, interleaving data in the mobile data packets and transmitting the interleaved data during a slot.

The method for transmitting a broadcast signal includes encoding mobile data for forward error correction (FEC) to build Reed-Solomon (RS) frames, dividing the built RS frames into a number of RS frame portions, dividing one of the RS frame portions into Serially Concatenated Convolutional Code (SCCC) blocks, mapping the SCCC blocks including the convolution-coded data to mobile data blocks according to a SCCC block mode which identifies relationship between the mobile data blocks and the SCCC blocks, forming a data group including the mobile data blocks, forming mobile data packets including data in the data group and, multiplexing a specified number of the mobile data packets, a first scalable number of the mobile data packets, and a second scalable number of main data packets.

    摘要： A transmitting system, a receiving system, and a method of processing broadcast signals are disclosed. Herein, the transmitting system includes an RS frame encoder, a block processor, a group formatter, and a trellis encoding module. The RS frame encoder performs error correction encoding on an RS frame payload including mobile service data so as to form an RS frame, divides the RS frame into a plurality of portions, and outputs the divided RS frame portions. The block processor performs one of ½-rate encoding and ¼-rate encoding on each bit of the mobile service data included in each portion. The group formatter maps a portion including symbols of the ¼-rate encoded mobile service data and symbols of the ½-rate encoded mobile service data to a corresponding region of a data group. And, the trellis encoding module performs trellis encoding on the symbols of the ¼-rate encoded mobile service data and the symbols of the ½-rate encoded mobile service data of the data group.

    摘要： A receiving system and a method for receiving and processing a broadcast signal including mobile service data are disclosed. The receiving system includes a tuner, a demodulator, a block decoder and an RS frame decoder. The tuner receives a broadcast signal including first mobile service data and second mobile service data. The demodulator demodulates the broadcast signal. The block decoder performs turbo-decoding on the first and second mobile service data included in the demodulated broadcast signal. The RS frame decoder builds a primary RS frame by collecting the turbo-decoded first mobile service data and performs error correction decoding on the primary RS frame. The RS frame decoder also builds a secondary RS frame by collecting the second mobile service data and performs error correction decoding on the secondary RS frame.

The method of processing a digital broadcasting signal in a transmitter includes performing RS (Reed-Solomon) encoding on signaling data containing cross layer information between a physical layer and a upper layer, wherein the signaling data includes a first field indicating a protocol version change of the signaling data, a second field indicating a length of an extension field of a header included in the signaling data, and at least one field indicating a number of ensembles for at least one of a first transmission mode and a second transmission mode, and wherein the ensembles include a collection of services, each of the services being a package of packetized streams of mobile service data, forming data groups including the signaling data and the mobile service data, forming mobile service data packets including the signaling data and the mobile service data in the data groups, transmitting the digital broadcasting signal including the mobile service data packets during slots, wherein the first transmission mode is a mode in which the mobile service data are transmitted while reserving greater than 118 packets out of 156 packets in the slot and the second transmission mode is a mode in which the mobile service data are transmitted while reserving less than or equal to 118 packets out of 156 packets in the slot.
