摘要: A novel oil changer designed to enable one to visually determine the extent of contamination or deterioration of oil in service in comparison with fresh oil prior to change thereof for the purpose of attaining highly economical oil consumption. The oil changer includes an oil contamination inspection tank adapted to be selectively placed into communication with an external oil sump and a waste oil reservoir for forced passage therebetween of used oil under the drive of a pneumatically driven pump, and a metering tank for storing and metering fresh oil to be delivered therefrom to said external oil sump and adapted to be selectively placed into communication with a fresh oil reservoir and said metering tank for forced passage therebetween of fresh oil under the drive of a reversible pneumatically driven pump. The inspection tank is provided with wipers for cleaning its interior surface from the outside thereof, whereas the inspection tank is provided with a graduated overflow pipe for metering the amount of fresh oil to be delivered therefrom, the pipe extending in a vertical direction with its upper end opened into the tank interior at an appropriate level and its lower end connected with said fresh oil reservoir. With the above arrangement of the oil changer, oil change can be continuously effected in a very speedy and safe manner so as to substantially reduce the service time required therefor.

摘要: A computer system including a plurality of processing nodes, at least one resource provided for use by any of the processing nodes and a plurality of register sets. Each register set is provided in each of the processing nodes for storing in parallel use status information indicating whether the resource is in exclusive use status or not. The computer system can also include a plurality of request issue circuits, each being provided in each of the processing nodes, for issuing individually requests for exclusive use of the resource, a message exchanging circuit for serializing requests issued by the request issue circuits into a serialized order and broadcasting the request to all of the processing nodes in the serialized order and a plurality of status control circuits. Each status control circuit is provided in each of the processing nodes corresponding to each of the register sets to update individually a corresponding register set depending on use status information stored in the corresponding register set and each of the requests for exclusive use of the resource received at a corresponding node.

摘要: In a parallel processor system comprising a plurality of processor elements constituting a network, a source processor element wishing to broadcast data to a plurality of destination processor elements sends a broadcast request message containing the target data to a broadcast exchanger. The broadcast exchanger converts the received message into a broadcast message and sends it over the network to the destinations. A plurality of broadcast request messages, if transmitted parallelly to the broadcast exchanger, are serialized thereby so that only one broadcast message will be transmitted at a time over the network. This prevents deadlock from occurring between different broadcast messages. The routes for transmitting broadcast request messages and those for transmitting broadcast messages are arranged so as not to overlap with one another. This suppresses deadlock between any broadcast request message and broadcast message. The broadcast exchanger is replaced alternatively with one of the partial networks. These schemes all apply where long messages are transmitted through worm-hole routing.

摘要: A vehicle polishing method includes a first polishing step of moving a portal or gate-type travel frame travellable forwardly and backwardly in one of opposite travelling direction over a stationary vehicle to polish the body surface of the vehicle by rotary brush means mounted on the travel frame during such movement while applying a foamy primary treating agent containing an anionic surfactant onto the body surface by a primary treating agent applicator mounted on the travel frame, and a second polishing and rinsing step of moving the travel frame in the other travelling direction and polishing the body surface by the rotary brush means while applying an aqueous wax containing a cationic surfactant onto the body surface by an aqueous wax applicator, and ejecting fresh water onto the body surface by a rinsing unit mounted on the travel frame to wash away the excessive wax from the body surface. After termination of the first polishing step and before starting of the second polishing and rinsing step, the cationic surfactant-containing aqueous wax is applied to the rotary brush means for a predetermined period of time. The apparatus for carrying out such polishing method specifically includes an aqueous wax applicator which has nozzle means adapted to directly eject an aqueous way toward the rotary brush means.
