摘要: A communication system enables even an operator other than experts to correctly perform operations for a communication device such as an operation for modifying the configuration of the communication device without fail through simple operations without taking a long time for the operations, and permits the operator to keep track of the status of the operation in a remote management server. The communication device acquires an operational scenario from a management server, assigns the execution of the operational scenario to an operation input unit, and executes the operational scenario in response to an instruction which is issued from the operator by depressing an associated button on the input unit. The communication device displays the result of the execution on a display unit, and notifies the management server of the result.

摘要: A method including integrating information regarding receiving, transmitting and converting capabilities of each device in a network with regard to signal formats, so that a pertinent transmission path can be determined. Such possible transmission paths can be specified in terms of the order of devices involved in the transmission paths and a signal format between these devices involved. One of the possible transmission paths that match the transmitting device and the transmitted signal format is selected as a pertinent transmission path. The method displays the selected transmission path on a monitor. Commands are issued to devices involved in the pertinent path, and the input/output of these devices is controlled according to the commands to establish the selected transmission path automatically. According to one aspect of the invention, an apparatus includes a means for storing device capability information. Also included is a memory for storing capability information of other devices. An analog input terminal and a digital input/output terminal are included. A decoder coupled to the digital input/output interface is included. A controller to produce possible transmission paths is included. A monitor for displaying a selected path is included to assist a user in manually selecting the path. The controller includes a command generator for issuing commands to devices involved in the possible selected paths. Also, a selector for selecting the path automatically is included.

摘要: A method of superimposing additional information on a video signal, transmitting it, and detecting the additional information from the transmitted video signal. The additional information is synchronized with a sync signal in the video signal, and generated in N (N≧1) unit intervals of one field of the video signal. Some predetermined unit intervals of the additional information generated in N (N≧1) unit intervals of one field of the video signal, are phase-inverted. The additional information is identified by detecting the information in unit intervals based on the sync signal in the video signal, and detecting that information in some predetermined unit intervals is inverted. The additional information is identified by detecting the information in unit intervals, and integrating the detection results with the information in inverted predetermined unit intervals inverted.

摘要: An information processing device, method thereof and a recording medium for easily switching input signals. A broadcast connection and a point-to-point connection are established between the receive device and the transmit device. When the user commands the canceling of the P.P. connection established for the receive device or the transmit device, only the broadcast connection remains established. In this state, the user receives signals on a receive device sent from the desired transmit device, and commands the restoring of the P.P. connection with the desired transmit device. The switching of input signals to the receive device is in this way performed by temporarily canceling the P.P. connection.

摘要: Proposed is a method for the preparation of a rare earth phosphate powder or, in particular, a composite rare earth phosphate powder of lanthanum, cerium and terbium having properties suitable for use as a base material of phosphors in fluorescent lamps in respect of particle size distribution of 1-10 .mu.m and globular particle configuration. The method is basically a precipitation method by mixing aqueous solutions of a water-soluble salt of the rare earth element or elements and phosphoric acid but the inventive method is characterized by completing introduction of the rare earth salt solution into the phosphoric acid solution within a limited length of time of 3 seconds to 5 minutes at a specified temperature, each of the solutions having a specified concentration.
