摘要: There is obtained a superconductive magnet in which there are reduced the machining costs and the amount of materials for bobbins and supporting members that support coils. In a superconductive magnet provided with a first group of coils serving as main coils for generating a magnetic field and a second group of coils serving as shield coils that are arranged coaxially with the first group of coils and generate a magnetic field whose direction is opposite the direction of a magnetic field generated by the first group of coils so that a magnetic field that leaks outside is cancelled, the second group of coils are arranged at axis-direction positions where axis-direction electromagnetic force generated by the first group of coils and exerted on the second group of coils and axis-direction electromagnetic force generated by the second group of coils balance with each other and cancel out each other.

摘要: Provided is a method of driving an information display panel in which at least two types of display media comprised of particle groups containing chargeable particles are sealed between two opposed substrates, at least one substrate being transparent, and a voltage is applied across a pair of opposed pixel electrodes formed by providing conductive films to the respective substrates to move the display media, thereby displaying an information image, wherein, in a series of alternating voltage pulses applied at the time of deleting the information image displayed on the information display panel, there is provided an OFF time, which is a period during which application voltage of 0 volt is maintained during change of polarity of each pulse voltage. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a method of driving an information display panel capable of achieving the longer lifetime of a battery at the time when the panel is driven by the battery and of preventing drop of the voltage from a power supply, by reducing a peak value of the electric current occurring at the time of deleting with the alternating voltage.

摘要: A refrigerant liquid level measuring device that measures a refrigerant liquid level in a short period is provided. A series sensor arrangement includes a plurality of sensor elements electrically connected in series. The sensor elements each have a superconducting wire and a normal conductor heater electrically connected to the wire, and the superconducting wire and the normal conductor heater are in thermal contact with each other. The series sensor arrangement is provided to cross the liquid level of refrigerant liquid in a container that stores the refrigerant liquid and one of the sensor elements and the other sensor elements in the series sensor arrangement are positioned on one another in the vertical direction. The series sensor arrangement is supplied with electric current, so that the liquid level of the refrigerant is measured by measuring the electrical resistance value of the normal conductive part of the super conducting wires in the series sensor arrangement.

摘要: A magnet roller capable of adjusting the height and position of a magnetic force peak after formation of a roller, and easily meeting a requirement to attain a complex magnetic force pattern without significantly increasing the cost. In the magnet roller, at least two kinds of first magnet pieces and second magnet pieces different from each other in orientation characteristic of magnetic powders are fixedly disposed around the outer periphery of a shaft. The first magnet pieces is a magnet piece in which anisotropic magnetic powders are oriented in such a manner to converge from both the side surfaces and the back surface to a specific position on the front surface side. The second magnet pieces are one kind or two or more kinds of magnet pieces such as a magnet piece in which anisotropic magnetic powders are oriented at random, a magnet piece in which anisotropic magnetic powders are uniformly or radially oriented in a specific direction from the back surface side to the front surface side, and a magnet piece using isotropic magnetic powders with no orientation characteristic.
