摘要： The present invention relates to a sending apparatus that efficiently sends content provided by a viewer/listener to a sender and that performs live distribution using the content. Program content to be live-distributed by a user terminal (10) serving as the sender and sender specific information for specifying the user terminal (10) on the Internet (11) are distributed to a client terminal (12) via a streaming distribution server (13). Content provided by the client terminal (12) is directly sent to the user terminal (10) on the basis of the sender specific information. The user terminal (10) performs live distribution using the content that has been sent from the client terminal (12).

摘要： In an audio/visual (AV) system, a method for navigation of menu options available to a user involves entering a graphical user interface (GUI) in a menu system that is displayed on a video display; generating a signal for displaying a first navigable list of menu options on the video display, the first navigable list of menu options having a plurality of fields arranged in a first linear configuration that overlays AV content currently playing on the display with one of the menu options shown at a location of the video display that is highlighted; and responsive to a navigation command from a remote controller, moving the first navigable list of menu options of the GUI to cause another field of the plurality of fields to move to the location that is highlighted, to highlight the another field while continuing to display the AV content currently playing on the video display.

摘要： A user accesses a sound data distribution server by operating a client terminal. The sound data distribution server transmits data for displaying a list of distributable music. The data are displayed on a display unit of the client terminal. While referring to the display on the display unit, the user requests the sound data distribution server for distribution of regular music data. This request is issued from the client terminal. A cellular phone to which the regular music data are to be distributed is specified by data (e.g., a mail address of the cellular phone) input at the client terminal. This enables the sound data distribution server to recognize the cellular phone and distribute the regular music data to the cellular phone.

Thus, a system is provided in which the user of the portable telephone can obtain the trial-listening music data of an incoming call melody without being charged for the fee, and can actually reproduce the trial-listening music data with the use of the user s portable telephone.

摘要： A musical tone signal-generating apparatus which is capable of easily reflecting user's settings on the apparatus based on user's usage data by a simple operation using a portable storage medium storing the user's usage data customized on a user-by-user basis. A server, which stores users' usage data concerning use of the apparatus, on a user-by-user basis. The user's usage data concerning the use of the musical tone signal-generating apparatus by a user is read from and written into a portable storage medium. When mounting of the storage medium in said reading and writing device is detected, the users' usage data associated with the user stored in the server and the user's usage data stored in the storage medium are compared to determine which is a newer one. The newer one of the users' usage data associated with the user stored in the server and the user's usage data stored in the storage medium is enabled, based on a result of the comparison.
