The present invention relates to an electric device, which comprises: a micro inertial sensing module, for detecting a motion of the electric device with respect to the degree of freedom of six axes and thus issuing a sensing signal basing on the detection; a sensing signal processor, for receiving and processing the sensing signal to form a system processing signal; and a display; wherein the displacements and rotations of the motion detection-enabled electric device is sensed and measured by the micro inertial sensing module for enabling the micro inertial sensing module to generate sensing signals corresponding thereto and thus sending the same to the sensing signal processor for processing, and then the result of the processing is adopted as the input of the motion detection-enabled electric device for causing the motion detection-enabled electric device to response in the display accordingly. Thereby, the functions of the buttons used as inputting interface of conventional portable game devices can be replaced and thus the fatigue and pain of players' fingers caused by the pressing of buttons can be eliminated, moreover, the displaying area of the display can be enlarged since the area reserved for accommodating conventional buttons is voided.

A status sensing mechanism is disclosed, which comprises: a post, and a sleeve, ensheathing the post for enabling the post to slide up and down therein; wherein the post is abutted against a side of the sleeve as the inertial cursor-control device is subject to a first movement while the post is separated from the side of the sleeve as the inertial cursor-control device is subject to a second movement. By the use of the aforesaid status sensing mechanism, an improved cursor-control device can be provided, in which a sensor is used to detect and determine whether the status sensing mechanism is subjecting to the first movement or the second movement so as to issue different electrical signals corresponding to the detection to an inertial cursor processor arranged inside the cursor-control device for directing the inertial cursor processor to perform one of the following operation: (1) to perform a two-dimensional or three-dimension operation with respect to the received electrical signal for controlling the switching of the sensing capabilities of the cursor-control device, that is, the cursor-control device is controlled to be in a mode of two-dimensional detection or in a mode of three-dimensional detection; and (2) to perform either a displacement locking operation for freeing the cursor from the control of the cursor-control device, or a calculation of displacement for directing the cursor to move accordingly.

An inertial sensing method is disclosed, which is capable of detecting tilting of an inertial sensing apparatus with respect to a specific level surface while using the detection for defining/controlling movements of a cursor displayed on a display, In a preferred aspect, as it is capable of acting as an hand-held input device, a swing of a hand holding the inertial sensing apparatus can be detected thereby and is used for controlling a page change of a display. Operationally, a micro inertial sensing module of the aforesaid inertial sensing apparatus detects changes of gravity caused by tilts of the inertial sensing apparatus and then generates inclination signals accordingly while enabling a wireless transmitter to send the same to a micro processing unit where the inclination signals are filtered and then compared with predefined datum signals so as to enable a cursor control circuit to define/control movements of a cursor displayed on a display according to the comparison. In addition, an effect of vibration measured along an axis of a Cartesian coordinate system of X-, Y-, and Z-axes defining the inertial sensing apparatus can be eliminated by the use of variations of signals measured along other axes of the Cartesian coordinate system. Preferably, by using two Y-axis accelerometers of the micro inertial sensing module to measure a difference of centrifugal forces detected respectively thereby, the adverse affection of centrifugal forces exerting upon the Y-axis can be eliminated.
