摘要: A device is provided for triggering a fire extinguishing system by a sprinkler, the device being arranged between the pipe for the extinguishing agent and the sprinkler and including a multiple-armed toggle-lever joint acting between a load axis of the triggering element and a sealing element that is arranged at an angle of 80 to 120° thereto. The device has the advantage that dry pipe sprinklers whose glass bulbs can only absorb low mechanical forces can also be arranged for use with pipes that exhibit large entry cross-sections, large volume flows and high pressures as the forces from the pipe that arise have to be absorbed only in part by the sprinkler glass bulb. It is further advantageous that the sealing force of the sealing element can be adjusted by means of an actuator.

摘要: A flexible dry sprinkler includes a flexible tube having an inlet attached to a first end, the inlet defining an inlet orifice operatively sealed by an inlet seal assembly. An outlet is attached to the second end of the flexible tube, and defines an outlet orifice operatively sealed by an outlet seal assembly. A flexible linkage extends from the inlet to the outlet through the flexible tube, and is constructed to operatively release the inlet seal assembly responsive to axial translation of the flexible linkage from a first position to a second position. The flexible linkage is supported by the outlet seal assembly in the first position and wherein the flexible linkage is constructed to axially translate toward the outlet when the outlet seal assembly is released.

摘要: A powerless automatic and/or manual fire-extinguishing device is disclosed, which is especially a powerless fire-extinguishing device, wherein steel ropes are used to actuate a fire-extinguisher automatically or manually so that fire-extinguishing material can extinguish fire through fire-extinguishing tubes. The powerless automatic and/or manual fire-extinguishing device includes an automatic sensor and/or manual device, a fire-extinguisher steel barrel actuating device and a gas isolating device. In the automatic sensor or manual device, a fuse sensor or a manual switch is used so that the tightness of the steel rope is varied for actuating the actuating device of a fire-extinguisher steel barrel and the gas isolating device can be driven synchronously for isolating the supply of gas. Therefore, fire is extinguished and gas flow is closed.

摘要: A fire protection system comprises a fire extinguisher, pneumatically operable actuator on the fire extinguisher for triggering the extinguisher, an elongate tube containing a temperature responsive gas-evolving substance, and a conduit connecting the tube to the actuator for transmitting gas pressure to the actuator. The gas-evolving substance is selected to generate, when the temperature about the tube attains a critical value within a predictable range, a quantity of gas which develops a pressure in the conduit sufficient to operate the actuator.

摘要: A tension indicating for a fire suppression system device is disclosed, including a body including first and second ends. At least one of the first and second ends is configured to be operatively coupled to a tensioned line of a mechanical fire detection line of a fire suppression system. The tension indicating device further includes a piston configured to be slidably disposed along a length of the body, the piston configured to be operatively coupled to the tensioned line of the mechanical fire detection line. The piston is provided with a movable indicator. Responsive to the tensioned line being provided with tension, the piston moves towards the end of the body, thereby causing the movable indicator to correspondingly move to indicate a tension in the tensioned line of the fire suppression system.

摘要: Various aspects of the invention are directed to a triggering device for a quickly triggering extinguishing system for explosion suppression. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the triggering device may include a pawl body having a pawl flank, a catch, at least one electromagnet to transmit an electromagnetic field, and a sliding pin. The sliding pin triggers an extinguishing system for explosion suppression by movement from a blocking position into a release position. In the blocking position, the sliding pin is pushed against the pawl flank of the pawl body by means of the catch and is held in the blocking position by said pawl flank. The pawl body releases the engagement of the catch and the pawl flank, and thereby releases the sliding pin, in response to the at least one electromagnet exerting the electromagnetic field on the pawl body.
